As a Regional Vice President, you will recruit, develop and train field general agencies and manage and promote SML life insurance sales in the Southeast Region of the US.

This is a remote position. Reliable internet service is required for the role. SML supports remote work for NY, PA, NJ, CT, MA, AL, FL, TX, OH, MN, IN, GA, IL, IA, AZ and NC.

Description of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, promote and accumulate life insurance sales.

  • Maintain daily sales calls, build and strengthen existing relationships, identify new relationships and create selling opportunities.

  • Collaborate with the Home Office to develop and execute relevant and appropriate business plans to maximize territorial and regional sales.

  • Execute marketing and sales plans.

  • Assist in the development and design of sales scenarios, including Advanced Estate Planning, Business Planning, Premium Financing, Infinite Banking, Qualified Plans, and Personal Insurance.

  • Correspond with and support Agents in the design and completion of sales and provide additional information and resources as necessary.

  • Consult with accounts, financial advisors, and clients regarding sales concepts and case design.

  • Create illustration designs for products and across various sales scenarios as needed.

  • Act as liaison between field representatives and home office.

  • Develop General Agents, Agents, and field Staff. Identify and convert representatives into producing representatives. Utilize databases to create and maintain representative profile levels and data on current and proposed sales activity.

  • Facilitate procurement of underwriting requirements and premium payments.

  • Conduct orientation and training sessions for new General Agents and Agents covering sales concepts, products, services, illustrations, product design, underwriting, contracting and Security Link.

  • Create a referral leads list to recruit new representatives and recruit new General Agencies.

  • Participate in Company and industry special events as required by Company management.

Required skills & experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of life insurance field sales experience

  • Proven track record of success working with third-party life insurance distributors and ability to bring new producing relationships to the table must be demonstrated.

  • Advanced understanding of cash value life insurance products, including whole life insurance, and understanding of whole life illustration/case design required.

  • Familiarity with whole life insurance and other cash value life insurance products required.

  • Life Insurance License required.

  • Must be based in the Southeast region of the US and have the ability to travel frequently for business.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required along with high degree of comfort in a group setting.

  • Chartered Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter or other relevant designation such as LUTC is preferred.

  • Basic proficiency with WebEx is required.

  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Winflex Web or Winflex is preferred.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to change and work under pressure.

  • Must be dependable.

Pay Range: $100,000.00 to $140,000.00 Annually

The starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.
