POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for hiring, training and supervisory management of trust associates, meeting department financial goals and creating a positive working environment, for each location in an assigned region of the bank as well as being an active participant in the trust department leadership team as defined by the Wealth Management President.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1.Supervise all trust positions assigned to region.
2.Responsible for handling all Human Resources matters for direct reports.
3.Mentor all direct reports, especially recently hired associates.
4.Provide guidance to trust staff with regards to all discretionary matters and document interpretations.
5.Review and approve terminating accounts.
6.Review and approve annual account reviews for direct reports.
7.Administer a book of trust business.
8.Attend area meetings for all areas within your assigned region.
9.Address any lapses in compliance with corporate policies, trust policies or applicable laws.
Prepare and monitor trust budget for assigned region in coordination with the Senior Operations Officer and Wealth Management President, to include goal setting, vendor management and revenue/expense management.
Help develop sales strategies and set sales targets.
Monitor performance of assigned teams. Lean and motivate trust officers on new business efforts.
Keep management informed of trust activities, opportunities, and risk issues, to include potential litigation issues.
Assume responsibility for duties as required or assigned by executive management.
Maintain a current knowledge of trust and investment principles and regulations.
Participate in Trust Committee and the Trust Administrative and Investments Committee. May be asked to serve as a voting member.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's Degree (BBA) in accounting or finance. Law degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 10 years trust experience. Prefer CTFA designation or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Knowledge of Windows, and other office programs to include Microsoft Excel and Word.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Strong logic, reasoning, and analytical skills.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
