The Opportunity

We seek to hire a Regional Team Lead to serve our members in the East Bay Shore. In this role, you will have the ability to provide superior customer service to all our members with Patelco products and services.


  • Travel to branches within designated region on a frequent basis for an undetermined length of time

  • Ensuring quality customer service to credit union members

  • Opening new accounts, ATM balancing and loan processing and funding

  • Assisting with deposits and withdrawals, cashier checks, money orders, gift/traveler checks, and other complex transactions

  • Assist other team members with accuracy in cash handling and balancing

  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and that regulatory compliance standards are met by all team members

  • Complete required audits as needed

  • Assisting with meeting branch established goals through individual referrals and reinforcing team member referral behaviors

  • Review and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees and policies to stay current on offerings for product suggestions

  • Provide answers and assistance for member questions/concerns, utilizing resources within the branch

  • Take ownership of member issues when possible, with the assistance of the branch management

  • Conduct training with team members on new policies, products and procedures

  • Mentor team and help resolve member issues

  • Give direction and feedback to others to increase their knowledge and performance.

  • Provide direction and guidance for branch staff on operational/regulatory procedures

  • Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures.

  • Ensure that employees, processes, and procedures under your area of supervision comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Must have HS Diploma/GED

  • Must have reliable source of transportation to travel to branches with limited notice

  • One year minimum of excellent cash handling experience

  • Possession of strong customer service and sales skills, especially in a banking or retail environment preferred

  • Excellent computer skills MS Windows and MS Office (Word & Excel)

  • Ability to be well organized, team-player, motivated and flexible with working hours

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform multi-task and detail oriented

  • Demonstrated ability and desire to thrive in a challenging fast paced work environment

Physical Activities/Requirements

  • Primary work activities involve using a keyboard and computer to assist members

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time

  • Will be required to travel within branch network for training or staffing assistance

Position Overview The regional superintendent provides direct supervision and support to school leaders (Site Directors) for the purpose of ensuring the achievement and maintenance of premier educational programs and services in all AMPS schools. In collaboration with organizational and instructional staff, provides leadership relative to implementation of the AMPS educational philosophy, goals and objectives. Regional superintendents work under limited supervision. The Regional Superintendent reports directly to the Chief of Staff (COS), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or the Chief Academic Officer (CAO). This alignment will be determined at hiring. The Regional Superintendent is a key member of the senior leadership team, will be involved in the overall leadership of AMPS and will help the school leader teams to meet the yearly measurable objectives and assist in the development of professional instructional standards. The Regional Superintendent will be involved in overseeing the development of a schools instructional priorities, compliance and overall performance to lead to overall positive student outcomes. The Regional Superintendent will work closely with the AMP C level senior management team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coaching and Instructional Mentoring: Closing Achievement Gaps Ensure that all schools meet core performance outcomes on yearly basis and achieve dramatic gap-closing student performance gains in all subject areas through the use of regular observations, and data collection and analysis. Examples of this work include: * Implementation of systematic practices for ensuring execution of explicit and rigorous curriculum standards in all aspects of the instructional program; * Assures sites maintain a culture where the team systematically assesses and monitors student progress using objective and verifiable information. * Meeting with school leaders in regular and structured AMPS protocols to review update staff performance, varied data points and to provide feedback and support to school leaders. * Coordinating and monitoring regular and quality staff development and in-service activities for staff for ongoing trainings that are targeted based on data, and surveys. * Enforces and observes effective use of data for continuous improvement and decision making by emphasizing, monitoring, and provide support to school leaders and teams for pre and post data reviews, analysis and data review protocols. * Analyze classroom, and students' work with school leaders, and/or other selected staff to then brainstorm next steps for adjusting instruction as needed. * Help site leaders to coach teachers for improved instruction by providing helpful feedback and support. * Regular communication with all stakeholders is extremely important. * Request Special Education Director and staff for any needed technical and required support and/or consultation as needed. * Provide professional coaching to leaders and teams in across-curriculum, research-based, instructional strategies * Collect and analyze survey data on efficacy of PD sessions. Cultivating Effective Talent and Support Assures that sites are establishing an effective and vibrant school and a school culture that drive stated instructional practices. Assures support, coaching, training and supervise of site directors and deans with goal of developing instructional leadership skills: * Assures that leaders are in the classrooms observing, coaching and follow up meetings with instructional staff * Assists school leaders to look at details in instructional program with such roles as tutors, para-professionals substitute teachers, non-core teachers, counselors, etc. * Work in conjunction with Operational leads to ensure leaders employ the proper staff and all appropriate certifications are in place. * Guide and support the site directors with an induction process of new teachers at school level. * Hold regular 1-on-1 Direct report with each site director regularly to review data, classrooms, instructional modeling and practice. * Assures that SPED staff are integrated as pivotal members of the site teams. * Work with the COS, Regional Superintendents, Directors and talent development teams to design leader and dean training, and ; * Create evaluative mid-year and end-of-year Professional Growth Plans (evaluations) for all instructional in your portfolio. Also, work with Site Leaders on developing and measuring PGP for their Deans. * Serve on committee to select new site directors; become the primary point-of-contact for top candidates during the process; spend 1-2 days with each final candidate in rigorous final interview process. Core Curriculum and alignment Along with members of the AMPS Instructional Team, home office, and committees, organize development of new or adopted curriculum for the organization ensuring alignment are consistent with network objectives and that supplemental curriculum and programs add value to the gap closing objectives. * Assure that sites are aligning lessons and curricular maps in alignment with curricular maps and developed plans set at start of year with Site Leaders. * Interpret the present curriculum and any proposed curricular changes to the board, the administration, the staff, and the general public as directed by the Chief Executive Officer. * Facilitate implementation of the schools curricular, instructional, and assessment programs for language arts, mathematics, and/or science * Work with Site Directors, deans, and teacher committees in organizing and coordinating grade level, cross subject, and department meetings in order to effect horizontal and vertical integration and articulation of the AMPS Consistent Practices for instructional and cultural program throughout the region and network. * Compile data reports and summaries and assist with compliance reports as required by the CEO or CAO. Other Operational and Regulative Related Duties The Regional Superintendent will establish a Management Plan that will detail how they will approach the year work flows, goals and objectives. The plan will detail how regular communication and updates will handled from this department. * Ensure that Site Teams understand the importance of compliance with the school's charter and verify compliance. * Has role in developing structures and management processes for financial allocation of resources in support of student learning, equity and safety for all by emphasizing, monitoring, and supporting: o effective, legal, and ethical processes for implementation of building level budgets that align with instructional needs by allocating resources in a manner that best supports learning; * Examine and develop graduation requirements and other educational standards and develop appropriate recommendations for revision consistent with network goals and within state requirements. * Supports schools through external reviews such as WASC, LCAP, authorizer reviews, audits, etc. * Remain current with best practices (professional reading, conferences, seminars, webinars, school workshops, etc.) * Attend board meetings and prepare such reports for the board as the CEO or CAO may request. * Develop, evaluate and make recommendations to the CEO regarding policies and procedures governing the operation of the organization's schools, educational services, special projects, research and evaluation, and curriculum and staff development. AMPS Consistent Practices Assuring that the set AMPS Consistent Practices and foundations are operational and implemented at the regional sites. * Work with AMPS Regional Superintendents, Instructional Directors, Coaches and COS to develop, organize and roll out and monitor AMPS wide consistent practices for instruction. Management and all other areas. * Reinforces the tools and processes developed for all operational and instructional areas are being utilized by Site Leaders and teams. * Provide leadership and direction to the region for all instructional and school cultural matters. * Assist in the development of network instructional policies and administrative rules as directed by the CEO and COS. * Understand the concerns and constraints of both the schools and AMPS Network Support teams in order to facilitate good working relationships Qualifications (Required & Preferred) All candidates MUST have the following knowledge, skills & traits: * A clear understanding and belief in the AMPS mission, vision, and instructional model * MUST possess an effective communication and follow up style. * Be a results-oriented driven individual – determined and perseverant individual willing to go above and beyond. * Be loyal to mission and to organization. * Must thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; flexible, able to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed. * Possess strong understanding of classroom practice, effective teaching and pedagogy and have the ability to differentiate coaching as needed. * Possess excellent organizational, and time management skills. * Possess the ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently Required Education and Experience * Must have at minimum 5 years of school leadership experience * Must Demonstrative a track record of producing high levels of growth in academic student achievement as a school leader * Bachelor's Degree * CBEST Exam Completion * Flexibility: Other duties may be assigned * 3-5 years of demonstrating classroom experience, preferably within an urban school setting Preferred Education, Abilities and Experience * Graduate degree * CCTC credential * 2+ years of demonstrated success supervising or leading a team of educators * Bilingual: Spanish Physical Requirements * Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required such as maneuvering in classrooms and office space-reaching file cabinets, filing, faxing, scanning, coping, typing, mailing, and making phone calls; * Must be able to sit for up to two (2) hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard and mouse and typing. * Regular commuting between sites should be expected for this role.
