Airgas is currently recruiting for a Class A Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to support our Specialty Products division in Greeley, CO.

What will I be doing?

As a Class A Driver operating our 53ft. Tanker Truck, you will responsible for delivering Aqua and Anhydrous Ammonia products to our customers in Greeley, CO and the surrounding areas. Additionally, you will provide emergency response, routine maintenance, and minor repairs for ammonia systems.

Area of Coverage:

No specified routes, deliveries and service are solely contingent upon customer demand within 48 hours of dispatch. Based out of Greeley, CO and covering the surrounding areas including Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Utah. Could possibly include other areas depending of customer needs.

Requirements:

  • At least 25 years old.

  • Class A CDL with at least 3 years' CMV experience experience must be within the last 4 years and tanker/hazmat endorsements are required before hire date.

  • Graduation from an accredited truck driving school with diploma will count as 1 year of required experience.

  • No preventable accidents of any kind in the last 3 years.

  • No more than 2 minor tickets in the last 3 years.

  • No serious violation ticket (speeding 15 , reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.

  • No suspensions of CDL in the last 3 years except for "Failure to pay child support".

  • No DUI in the last 7 years.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Collect empty cases. - Resolve customer complaints. - Stock and/or rotate product on shelves or in cold room. - Reset product displays. - Required to either transport product across state lines, or if delivering intrastate, to haul some products that originate in other states. - Must maintain idle time to company standards - Must be able to complete assigned route within DOT time regulations. - Implement and maintain plan o gram integrity and Point of sale material where needed. - Maintain a valid Class B CDL (based on established route) and current DOT medical card. - Per Company and/or DOT regulations, report any moving violations to management immediately. - Checks load security prior to travel and at each stop, making adjustments when needed. - Know and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations handbook. - Complete all daily DOT and customer paperwork including delivery tickets, pre and post trip inspections, driver logs, and vehicle service reports. - Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes. - Know and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations handbook. - Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. - Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area. - Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas. - Responsible for food safety, pre*requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately. - Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 6 months related experience required. - Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. - Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred. - Must be able to drive, stand, walk, kneel, lift and bend required for virtually the entire shift. - Balance-pulling product, climb in and out of truck. - Ability to lift and/or move up to six cases on hand truck. (Cases weigh 20 to 55 lbs.). - Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environment with moderate noise, sometimes slippery floors.
