The Regional Sr. CI Specialist will ensure the sustainability and improvement of the Ingredion Performance System (IPS) at the regional level, in alignment with global teams. The main tasks include auditing, developing, and supporting the implementation and enhancement of the Ingredion Performance System at the regional level. This involves providing methodology and technical support, including process studies, problem-solving, process harmonization, and routine implementations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an organizational transformation agent for the channel IPS implementation.

  • Lead the implementation of the IPS management system and other IPS related activities, while assuring the sustainability of Management System tools, like routine dashboards, OEE measurement, and other routine indicators.

  • Act as the regional point of contact for IPS and specific topics across the IPS methodology, such as IPS deployment, OEE, SMED, Process mapping, etc.

  • Deliver Management System training that includes concepts, tools, and deliverables to achieve awareness and facilitate IPS adoption and cultural change.

  • Establish a baseline of main regional KPIs and support the unit leadership team during the target setting according to regional, financial, and functional goals.

  • Supports completion of the RCA analysis and actions for Safety, Quality, Service, Cost Reduction, etc.,

  • leads the gap analysis methodology to recommend Regional/ plant level process improvements to drive target achievement and organizational effectiveness.

  • Drive and support diverse regional cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and Safety/Quality workstreams and processes to achieve regional targets by prioritizing efforts (PDCA, LSS, Kaizen, etc.).

  • Suggest improvements in the Management System according to experience during implementation and sustainability.

  • Support the plant team to achieve their Sustainability goals using CI tools.

  • Participate in regional and local Manufacturing Excellence and IPS team regional meetings to identify new practices for the plant's success.

  • Facilitate Kaizen events, Ideation workshops, RCA studies, and other CI activities that support plant performance enhancement.

  • Leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to support plant management in the identification of key success drivers and execution of improvement objectives.

  • Lead/act like a change agent to achieve continuous improvement and a performance-focused culture through collaboration with all business and functional units in the region to ensure alignment of improvement initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with the Plant leaders to implement Lean tools such as SMED, process and value stream mapping, etc.

  • Coach and mentor plant teams and individuals to ensure the successful completion of IPS implementation, CI activities, and troubleshooting, as applicable.

  • Support preparation of skill matrix deployment as part of the Management System.

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

  • Expert level influencer with proven change management skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing engineering.

  • Experience in Process/Industrial Engineering.

  • Trained in Lean Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Practices, and SPC. Green Belt.

  • Strong knowledge of digital systems, including OEE, integrated action tracking, and KPI reporting.

  • Power BI and SQL experience, electronic paperwork, or other digital process improvement solutions.

  • Experience implementing OEE.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience implementing lean management systems.

  • Experience with Corn Processing and Equipment.

  • Black Belt certification is desired but not required.

  • Prefer 3-5 years of continuous improvement experience.
