Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Regional Service Manager to join our YGC team in Kennesaw, GA. The Regional Service Manager (West Region Territories) serves as a connection between the Field Service Team (FST) (Fleet and Dealer) and Yamaha, ensuring a mutual understanding of business conditions and support needs. This position monitors, research and reports product safety and quality issues or concerns working with their field team. They will train and support staff on Yamaha systems, procedures, direct staff development and support tool development to enhance efficiencies. Develops and implements Field Service Support contracts with key dealers in the market. Manages Sales, Service contracts, inventory, and incentive activities. Manages and reports on productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

What you will be doing:

  • Visit and establish good relationships with assigned Field Service Manager's (FSM) and Service Support Dealers. Build and foster relationships with customers, team members, sales team, and management to ensure success and profitability.

  • Manage key course and dealer accounts in given market to facilitate best business practices in key market area with Service and Sales responsibilities.

  • Foster Strong Relationships with National, Direct and Dealer Sales teams to facilitate proper course management and Dealer Development Activities.

  • Develop fleet and dealer field service processes and champion field service system development to support Yamaha's service division MTP initiatives (i.e., systems implementation, FST training material, handbooks, and other maintenance material).

  • Facilitate Pre-Owned vehicle sales business working with Pre-Owned Business manager and assigned regional dealers and inventory storage locations.

  • Train FSM in warranty systems, administration, and processing of inventory needs, parts look up and parts ordering and service procedures.

  • Manage FSM parts sales processes and overseeing FST inventory levels and billables with yearly onsite truck counts to ensure field service profitability.

  • Manage FSM Incentive plan insuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely processing.

  • Identify gaps in the direct area service support, solution, and present business models to YGC management.

  • Manage Fleet of vehicles with in-house vehicle support team.

  • Facilitate training department in support of technical school training development and partnerships and Field Service Seminars on preventive maintenance, trouble-shooting and best practices.

  • Attend off-site functions in support of Yamaha (i.e., product shows and special events).

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field

  • A minimum of 8-10+ years of service-related experience

  • A minimum of 5+ years of managerial experience.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead and supervise a team of technical employees

  • Must have a clean driving record with valid driver's license

  • Ability to obtain a company issued or personal credit card for use in travel-related expenses.

  • Travel as required up to 50% with occasional weekend travel

  • Must have a valid state driver's license.

  • Business Acumen

  • Experienced in dealing with sales responsibility ranging from $500K to $1M
  • Proficiency in Business Objects and MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook). Must have the ability to become proficient in Yamaha proprietary / specialty systems

  • Employee Relations

  • Lead, mentor, cultivate, and supervise YGC FSM Team, team ranges from 6 -10 employees
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strategic Planning - defining the organization's strategy or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to attain strategic goals.
