The Role:

The Regional Security Specialist of the Eastern Region will manage regional guard force operations, security response, employee engagement initiatives and other corporate security programs within their region. The Regional Security Specialist will focus on matters pertaining to Service, Sales, and Delivery (SSD) as well as Energy. Tesla's operations for Energy are a complex mix of manufacturing, warehouse and corporate facilities that provide a variety of security related challenges. On the SSD side, Tesla's operations revolve around the customer experience from design to delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day physical security operations at all Tesla facilities within a regional area of operations

  • Coordinate with cross-functional business partners to proactively identify, mitigate and manage operational risks

  • Coordinate and manage responses to incidents as needed to address threats directed towards any staff, physical assets or operations

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure efficient and cost-effective collaboration

  • Act as the regional point of contact for security for internal and external purposes

  • Report and analyze all regional security metrics

  • Based on security metrics, address areas of improvement region-wide

  • Prepare, coordinate and conduct security training courses and site risk assessments

  • Provide first-line supervision, mentoring and leadership of guard teams

  • Support initiatives to strengthen external partnerships with local and state law enforcement, federal agencies, third party vendors and community organizations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in physical security, risk management, loss prevention, emergency preparedness or law enforcement experience

  • Experience conducting threat and risk assessments

  • Working knowledge of access control security systems and technology

  • Hands-on experience coordinating and running training events in a corporate setting

  • Ability to manage stress and respond quickly to security, safety, and sensitive situations

  • Availbilty to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Ability to travel as required

  • Evidence of exceptional ability
