Responsible for all aspects of sales in a specific region for Aluminum Fish Group (AFG) brands including Crestliner, Lowe, Lund, and Thunder Jet. Role requires determining the right strategic dealer locations for each brand, executing boat sales to achieve budgeted goals in the region and the leadership of District Business Managers. The VP of Sales has direct responsibility for all product sales functions and training as well as financial budgets and forecasts. This role will also require approximately 50% travel including travel within Canada.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Member of Aluminum Fish Group (AFG) management team and integral to development and execution of AFG strategy.
Oversees regional sales plans to support the overall AFG strategy.
Directs the sales team in exceeding all sales objectives while maintaining acceptable gross profit margins for each of the brands. Ensure deadlines are met for sales and service agrement, annual planning targets, exclusivity agreements, order deadline dates, and dealer inventory reporting documents.
Manages the strategic direction of each brands' dealer network to optimize sales and service coverage for the AFG which includes identification of distribution network white space opportunities and underperforming dealerships and development of strategies to correct or replace underperforming dealers
Supports each of the brand presidents and brand product managers on new products, product enhancements and product white space opportunities to enhance total AFG penetration within region.
Works closely with each brands' marketing department on sales and marketing tools including catalogs, brochures, website content, etc. to support dealers' sales efforts
Coordinates closely with dealers, DBMs and brand personnel to ensure appropriate boat show presentations and regional sales and marketing events occur
Establishes and maximizes strong dealer and customer relationships strong negotiating skills required.
Provides input to the brand presidents for pricing, programs and promotions
Collects and analyzes competitive market and pricing information in the region drive market share growth.
Provide input into the development of each brand's long term strategic plan and coordinates closely with each brand's leadership team to understand each brand's performance relative to its long term strategic direction
Coordinates with the other Vice Presidents of Sales as necessary to achieve sales and margin targets as well as to handle cross-territorial distribution network matters.
Manages all sales team expense budgets.
Provides Senior Management with current sales & market information, including forecasting, sales activity and competition information.
Must resolve complex issues to the satisfaction of multiple parties
Must develop creative ways to address and resolve internal and external issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting and selling; including ability to create presentations in power point, and advance excel skills
4 year Bachelor's Degree in related field
15 sales experience with five years or more of sales team management experience.
