The Internal Wholesaler (Regional Sales Specialist) provides strategic telephone sales and comprehensive territory management support for the territory area.
This position is hybrid (3 days per week on site), based in the Boston office.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategically collaborate with the Regional Vice President in the creation, implementation & execution of the territory marketing & sales strategy
independently plan, prepare & initiate sales calls to influence financial professionals to promote & sell Amundi products
Extensively follow up with financial professionals after Regional Vice President visits to provide additional information, obtain feedback & utilize needs-based selling techniques to inquire about additional product needs
Independently develop new prospects & maintain existing relationships with a focus on increasing sales in the territory
Facilitate & participate in meetings with representatives either in the territory and/or during a visit to our Boston office
Facilitate conference calls between branch offices & Amundi's investment staff through designated channels
Coordinate planning of broker dealer meetings, seminars, conference calls & necessary meetings involving external financial professionals, Portfolio Managers & all levels of management within the Distribution organization
Rely on extensive industry knowledge & experience to collaborate with the wholesaler in achieving established sales goals for the territory
Utilize technology tools as well as analyze firm & third party data in order to uncover opportunities, improve targeting of advisors/teams & narrow focus for sales/product campaigns to increase sales, retain assets & diversify the business
Independently develop thorough understanding of key accounts, BD platforms, investment strategies, & competitive landscape for use in developing new prospects & maintaining existing relationships
Proactive & coordinated use of digital marketing & social media
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
1-3 years of financial industry experience
1+ years working in a sales capacity
Ability to build, maintain and develop relationships
Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (or Series 7, 63, and 65) preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire.
Previously held Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses that are inactive will be considered, provided that all required exams are retaken and passed within three months of being hired
Knowledge of / interest in the financial marketplace including, but not limited to: stocks, bonds, international investing, currency
Self-motivated with high attention to detail
Ambitious, driven and resilient
Ability to work both autonomously & collaboratively in a fast paced atmosphere
Strong communication and presentation skills
