Our client is a fast-growing private organization and they have me looking for Regional Sales Reps (producers, NOT managers) to join their virtual team.

  • 8-10 years services and/or software sales experience - hands-on
  • NOT a manager
  • Solid job stability
  • 1 or 2 and out doesn't work for this client
  • Long sales cycle experience - six month or more

  • Hunter mentality and boundless energy

  • Consultative sales expertise - an innate skill for it to work

  • Road warrior - travel up to 75% - and near a major airport

  • Know the value of deep prep for sales calls

  • Tech Savvy - know about data analytics and their value

  • Able to clearly enunciate your sales process

  • Articulate with executive presence

  • Solid financial acumen

  • Able to manage a multi-state territory

  • Skilled at top-down selling

  • BA or BS degree is essential

  • Ability to use presentation tools, including mobile tools and WebEx software

  • Experience selling to banks and/or credit unions is preferred!


Base salary is $80K-$100K+ with UNcapped commissions and bonus with top earners seeing $250K - $300K+. Benefits and expenses are part of the package as well.

This person will be responsible for achieving territory revenue targets. Additionally, s/he will lead and motivate the sales team, as well as collaborate with Editorial and Marketing departments, ensuring a well-coordinated team management approach. Tasks are likely to include: * Strong focus on short to medium term sales strategy * Achieving and exceeding annual sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue and profit objectives of the business division * Plans department resources and team structure, in conjunction with line manager * Plans, schedules and carries out regular sales visits to customers to achieve financial targets within own sales region across product portfolio, customizing sales documentation and tools to maximize sales opportunities. * Develop strong professional and industry stakeholder networks * Cultivate strong, holistic relationships with the customer base, working to ensure that trading with each account is sustainable, profitable and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction * Report periodically to the senior management on sales progress and the business environment, this ensuring responsiveness to both the micro and macro trading conditions. * Collects and disseminates market, competitor, and customer feedback, including passing on leads where the customer and business would be better served by a different T&F channel/offering * Establish a strategic approach to the short, medium and long term business on territory, to ensure that activity is both relevant and flexible to the evolving trading environment over time * Uphold company trading and terms policy, to protect profitability and value of business in territory/channel * Actively liaise with stakeholder departments or groups within the business to enhance T&F's coverage of the territory – includes credit control, editorial, marketing, HE sales and sales support * Selection and adaptation of sales materials and catalogues for regular customer visits, as well as the creation of titles lists and the provision of catalogues (both existing and bespoke) and additional materials for customers attending conferences/events. * Conducting key analyses of products, customers, markets, and competitors. Develop and maintain knowledge of business and market trends. Identify areas of opportunity; offer suggestions and make recommendations for improvement to appropriate managers. * Developing and maintain sales and profit margins by directing and coaching Sales Associates/Executives. Work with Sales Associates/Executives to set goals, devise sales strategies, provide feedback, and coach for high performance. Compile learning and development plans for staff; provide support and follow up.
