Responsibilities

New opportunity with Bruker BioSpin for an experienced Sales Representative to lead, drive, and manage a focused NMR sales effort that maximizes new order bookings, sales opportunities, and the sales funnel throughout the North America region. Please note we are seeking a candidate to be based in the mid-west region of USA for this opportunity.

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned region to generate new business for the NMR and EPR product lines.

  • Meet or exceed defined sales volume targets (currently anticipated at approximately $12M)

  • Maintain all sales related information in the company's CRM, currently SalesForce.com, on an up-to-date basis, including leads, accounts, opportunities, and sales funnel management.

  • Conduct telephone calls, emails, and in-person visits to communicate latest product offerings via presentations and other communication media.

  • Arrange for product demonstrations with Product Specialists as necessary.

  • Produce clear and effective written proposals and quotations using company provided quoting tools; maintain quoted prices within pre-defined pricing matrix; negotiate contract term and conditions within company guidelines.

  • Communicate regularly with Senior Management and provide timely updates on all opportunities in the region, including likely and not likely purchasing decisions.

  • Perform research on regional companies and universities in order to identify and develop prospective customers.

  • Analyze the region's order potential and enter the information into the CRM.

  • Focus attention on key accounts and provide a feedback and competitive intelligence analysis to marketing, sales, service and others as appropriate.

  • Organize local-level sales strategy to maximize prospective customer awareness, sales opportunities and existing customer satisfaction for referrals in each territory.

  • Coordinate effort to communicate customer problems and complaints to the appropriate sales or service group (when encountered).

  • Remain current with product applications, technical services, market conditions and competitive activities through the reading of pertinent documentations.

  • Participate in trade shows and conferences as necessary.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or related discipline or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree and/or business degree is a plus.

  • Minimum 4 years sales work experience with recent proven success selling life sciences equipment.

  • Working knowledge of EPR method is a plus

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook and SalesForce.com.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

  • Excellent presentation and organization skills.

  • Proven ability to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment.

  • Self-motivation is essential as is a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal.

  • Demonstrated ability to build, leverage, and optimize business relationships with all parties.

  • Strong and consistent sales communication, lead development, negotiation and closing, presentation, and follow through abilities, including a sense of urgency and timely, supportive customer response.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently and within a team.

  • Ability and willingness to maintain home office with reliable telephone lines and computer connectivity.

  • Ability to maintain valid passport and flexibility for extensive travel.

  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state or governing location and reliable transportation.

  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
