Accountability:

This position is responsible for all sales activities via the general market relating to the promotion of all company products within an assigned territory. This is including forecasting, soliciting and securing orders from potential and existing customers in collaboration with the assigned Channel Partners. This person will aid in coordinating the best possible service and solution(s) to customer. Weekly reports and CRM input are required. The individual is responsibility for coordinating all efforts in the general market that promote total satisfaction to our customers channel partners, and the copany brands. This person is responsible to act as the liaison between the Channel Partner, 3rd party representative and the company factories.

Reports to: V.P. Sales & Marketing Travel: Minimum75% and as needed

  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.

  • Work through and with the Channel Partners in your assigned area.

  • Identify current and future customer sales requirements and propose how the company can meet them.

  • Identify current and future Channel Partner needs and work towards shared growth
  • * * * * * *
  • Maintain principal level and salesman level relationships at each channel partner to promote maximum * * * * * * * effort towards promoting and focusing on company product lines
  • * * * * * *
  • Coordinate with VP Sales to retain and when necessary recruit the best potential channel partners for * * * * * * * promoting company product lines in territory
  • * * * * * *
  • Secure and submits orders from potential customers & Channel Partners
  • * * * * * *
  • Coordinate or provide product, application, service, technical equipment and engineering information
  • * * * * * *
  • Establish new accounts.
  • * * * * * *
  • Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel.
  • * * * * * *
  • Understand competitor's offerings and how company products and services compare
  • * * * * * *
  • Obtain competitive information
  • * * * * * *
  • Work with Channel Partners to clearly understand customer(s) needs for effective and accurate quote
  • * * * * * *
  • Request quotation from factory for Channel Partner / Customer via company One document or other
  • * * * * * *
  • Deliver and review quotes with Channel Partner & Customer
  • * * * * * *
  • Travel as necessary to provide technical support to channel partners on sales opportunities for * * * * * * * company product lines
  • * * * * * *
  • Determine closing strategy per order/customer.
  • * * * * * *
  • Deliver sales/product presentations
  • * * * * * *
  • Negotiate price, terms and conditions with Channel Partner & Customer per departmental guidelines.

  • Coordinate with channel partners to provide quarterly and annual sales forecast and new business * * * * * * * reports

  • Meet quarter and annual booking forecast
  • * * * * * *
  • Coordinate relationship between Channel Partner, Customer and factory personnel

  • Host Customers and Channel Partners on factory visits and training
  • * * * * * *
  • Perform within expense budgets and expense filing guidelines
  • * * * * * *
  • Entertain as required in a business-wise manner
  • * * * * * *
  • Adhere to the company and Corporate Code of Conduct guidelines

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by: * * * * * * *

    • reviewing professional publications

    • participating in professional societies

    • establishing personal networks internally and externally

  • Contribute to engineering effectiveness of products with performance feedback to factory

  • Prepare and submit all required reports in requested time

  • Contribute to overall sales team efforts in assigned region and work as a team

  • Participate in regional and national machine tool shows when appropriate or assigned
  • * * * * *

Requirements

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, 4 year business, marketing, communication, or engineering degree preferred. (Relevant work experience also positive)

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience leading a capital goods sales team preferably in the machine tool industry. Previous experience working with through distribution is a positive.
