MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contact new and existing customers face to face and over the phone for sales contact within assigned region, territory, and companywide.
- Sell service using technical, organization and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the available services according to their needs resulting in revenue generation.
- Provide input and participate in the marketing and market planning for assigned region or companywide as directed.
- Follow up on all leads in the assigned region and companywide, as directed, including those generated by the local branch offices.
- Work with Area Managers at branches within the assigned region or companywide to support each branch sales goals.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete weekly sales reports, regular expense reports and any other required reporting in a timely and professional manner.
- Performs other duties as required.
CONTACTS:
- Internal- Regularly with Area Managers within assigned region and as directed companywide; regular contact with National Service Sales Manager with occasional contact with Whaley Foodservice staff at all levels as required.
- External- Frequent and regular contact with customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in experience.
- 2-3 years sales experience in a direct sales environment, preferably within the same industry or within a comparable service industry (HVAC, refrigeration services, electrical services, etc.).
- 2-3 years previous experience managing a sales territory.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong computer skills including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Good verbal and written communication skills combined with good interpersonal skills.
- Driving record acceptable under auto liability insurance guidelines.
WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Driving throughout assigned territory and other areas as needed.
- Subject to conditions at customer locations.
