Regional Sales Manager, Midwest

The Swatch Group (U.S.) is looking for a Regional Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing existing accounts within region to achieve planned sales budget and overall company annual sales projection for the Company brand. We are seeking a motivated individual with the ability to build excellent retailer relationships. This position will be responsible for the Midwest territory. The person will need experience with the wholesale selling.

Your profile


  • Develop the distribution channel in accordance with brand strategy

  • Manage the territory in an effective manner including selling activities, stock management, merchandising, account servicing and coop marketing activities

  • Provide solutions to meet customers' needs

  • Prospection and opening of new retailers

  • Follow the sell-out and the quality of the company appearance by the national point of sales

  • Training is also part of the job and presence at sport and promotional events

  • Explore, develop and implement changes to increase in-store visibility and sell-through (including training and case space negotiation)

  • Propose promotional events in conjunction with management

  • Communicate regularly with Brand Manager on status of accounts

  • Complete forecasts, sales analysis and other relevant reports

Professional requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Must have at least 3+ years of wholesale selling experience in a jewelry or luxury watch organization (will consider candidates with experience from other industries).

  • Self-motivated, results driven, professional sales person.

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Strong communication and problem solving skills.

  • Proficiency with computer programs including Excel and Word.

  • Ability to travel within assigned regional territory

Job purpose The regional sales manager is responsible for ensuring the success of the marketing plan through sales efforts, developing the sales consultants on his team and maximizing customer satisfaction through his sales team. Duties and responsibilities * Manage sales consultants, ensuring development of sales territory staff, training and development, completion of records and reports, and maximize customer satisfaction through sales team. Coordinate activities of sales consultants to prevent duplication of sales efforts * Sell and service three to five direct Level A customer accounts * Participate with Technical Services and Product Information in the development and implementation of product demonstration, training programs, printed materials and other projects * Maintains files, records, and other sources of competitor activity with respect to new products, promotions, pricing activities, or other marketing programs. Procure competitor products as necessary and forward to Technical Services for review * Help ensure the success of the marketing plan through sales efforts directed toward dealers, organizations, professional clients, and end users * Conduct sales meetings and inform the sales force of new developments in product and policies. Advise sales consultants of company sales promotions programs and counsel the sales consultants regarding their follow up in the field. * Conduct follow-up service calls with accounts to ensure satisfaction with all agreements reached during sales approach. * Maintain current technical product-related knowledge and general sales techniques and trends. Prepare summaries of important trends for management use. * Perform other assignments in support of the sales operations as requested by area vice president. Qualifications Required * Bachelor's Degree in Business/Sales/Marketing * 5+ years Sales management experience in a service industry * 3+ years Commercial Sales experience * 2+ years management experience, particularly managing multiple direct reports * A valid driver's license without restrictions Preferred Skills: * Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel * Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving with an ability to determine solutions for customers * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated initiative, a proven sales record and ability to negotiate within standard guidelines Working conditions This position will support a team spread out among a region.
