Markets and sells Barton products by identifying the primary goals, objectives and products needs of both existing and prospective customers. Seeks to achieve or exceed corporate sales goals in assigned geographic territory by building strong relationships, demonstrating our products, educating consumers, and obtaining detailed knowledge of industry trends to maintain competitive market position.
Provides overusing for distributor relationship. Represents the company at industry events and trade shows to promote the Barton brand.
The ideal candidate should have:
Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or related field.
Five to eight years sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution industry.
Computer proficiency including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and reports.
Strong interpersonal and communication proficiency, including the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in diverse communities, and competence in written, oral and presentation skills.
Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in meeting sales and revenue goals.
Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
Ability to maintain accurate records and data files, and to gather data, analyze information, and prepare detailed reports.
Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques with demonstrated success.
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals.
Willingness and proven ability to successfully work out of home office while concurrently developing and maintaining good working relationships with office-based staff.
Extensive day and overnight travel, including before and after normal business hours.
