Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is a function within Hexagon's Metrology Software organization responsible for the day-to-day management of the defined territory and the overall success of our Metrology Software group in the Northeast.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue goals, and overall customer satisfaction. This position includes working with Development, Applications Engineering, Services and Order Entry to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
The Regional Sales Manager maintains a high standard and provides leadership in the areas of software product knowledge, demonstration capabilities, sales professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
The Regional Sales Manager will work from a home office and be based out of one of the following states in order of preference, MI, OH, or IL, and be located near a major airport. Other locations will be considered within the region.
Job Responsibilities
Job Duties:
Meet or exceed annual revenue targets for assigned territory
Generate sales revenues by performing software demonstrations to existing and prospective customers
Work with OEM and Reseller Channels to maximize sales and assist in software demonstrations
Evaluate customer needs and develop corresponding solutions across multiple aspects of the customer's requirements
Identify additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels
Provide accurate forecasts through ongoing opportunity management in Salesforce.com
Work collaboratively with all available resources including Applications Engineers, Marketing, Inside Sales and others to identify, advance, and close sales
Provide customer feedback to Development for new product innovations and product development
Act as point of contact and provide support to customers before and after the sale
Ensure the success of the end user/customer
Qualifications
This position requires:
Minimum 5 years of proven field sales success
Passion for a long-term career in technical sales
Ability to work independently
Ability to travel extensively within the territory, 50% minimum
Preferences:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience
Prior software and/or technical solution sales experience
Completion of formal sales training program(s) or course(s)
Metrology industry and market experience
Affinity toward technology and ability to quickly understand and embrace advanced technologies
Team focused, problem solver with a passion to make a difference
