Central Region

Under direct supervision of the Director of Pro AV Sales, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the achievement of established revenue goals and business growth in geographic area of responsibility. This will be accomplished through development of strategic plans and marketing activities that capitalize on the unique attributes of the dealers, resellers, integrators and consultants within the marketplace.


  • Achieve sales revenue goals on a monthly and fiscal basis.

  • Establish reseller fiscal goals.

  • Manage a geographic territory within established guidelines and policies.

  • Assist dealers in developing strategic sales and marketing plans that support Sharp's and their uniqueness in the market.

  • Responsible to actively sell integrated product solution projects through direct end user interface, and to coordinate all Sharp technical and support resources required to secure the business for sale through the dealer network.

  • Provide monthly sales forecast by model mix, revenue and six month forecast by model in sales force

  • Update in sales force current pipeline/ registrations so management has a clear insight to territory reality

  • Update each account's progress towards fiscal incentives

  • Provide dealers and resellers with essential and timely information on announced sales and marketing strategies and programs, product announcements, technical updates, skills training, competitive analysis and operational support.

  • Evaluate and develop new business opportunities within established department and corporate guidelines and policies.

  • Conduct monthly sales and planning review with resellers.

  • Understand and articulate Sharp's market-share / competitive position with each account

  • Identify and uncover integration opportunities for projectors and monitors with end users and provide technical resources required to secure the business.

  • Evaluates new dealer opportunities in accordance with stated business objectives.

  • Deliver product presentations and corporate demonstrations.

  • Work with customers to determine appropriate systems solutions.

  • Ensure where appropriate credit lines are maintained and issue free

  • Work closely with territory distribution representatives to increase customer base and scale business

  • Attend when appropriate relevant account and distribution events in specific territory

  • Continue to migrate business from direct model to distribution


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience selling technology products.

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience selling to Distribution Channel.

  • Knowledge of complementary manufacturer's systems product preferred.

  • Broad knowledge of sales processes, equipment operation and applications, integration of equipment, networking, industry standards and competitive analysis techniques.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Occasionally required to lift and ship demonstration equipment in excess of 50 lbs.

  • Ability to operate remotely and travel 80% of the time.

They will have direct accountability to manage portfolios of professional customers, build account pipelines for targeted customers and ensure leads are converted to incremental sales. In addition, as The Home Depot business-to-business portfolio is expanded the RPSM will play a significant role in integrating all of The Home Depot enterprise offerings at each point of customer contact. The RPSM will also play a major role in recruiting, developing and leading the outside sales. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * 20% LEADERSHIP: Provide direction and guidance to Outside Sales team on all aspects of Regional Professional Sales. Drive and lead market based change * 20% PROVIDING EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE: Build strong relationships and deep understanding of Pro customer needs with a focus on fulfilling 100% of their product, credit and performance requirements. Development of operating plan to drive pro outside sales within respective region to achieve sales targets * 20% EXECUTION: Drive compelling Pro performance in terms of growth, profitability, store penetration, market penetration, credit penetration and Pro customer satisfaction. Deliver consistent and effective Pro program execution - Identify and implement best practices, Coach, Leads, Pro Paint. Conduct weekly sales updates, monthly and quarterly business reviews NATURE AND SCOPE * Position reports to Division Pro Director * Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others.
