Position Profile

The Adult Oncology Regional Sales Manager is responsible for Jazz Pharmaceuticals' sales force throughout the Northeast US region. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the effective promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals products to physicians and other health care providers within the geographic region. The RSM will lead and manage a team of Oncology Account Mangers, in addition to directly promoting the Adult Hematology/Oncology Jazz Pharmaceuticals products. The RSM will also manage projects involving cross-functional communication and activities.This position can be located within close proximity to a major transportation hub to travel throughout the Northeast region.

The Regional Sales Manager will:

  • Manage regional staff including:

  • Recruit and select excellent Oncology Account Managers

  • Coach, train and develop Oncology Account Managers to build a strong, progressive and motivated work team

  • Provide team leadership and ensure that the team performs with integrity

  • Review employee performance regularly and deal with any performance issues on a timely basis

  • Know, comply with, and ensure compliance by the region's employees with applicable corporate policies, procedures and guidelines

  • Understand the regulatory environment and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including those of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Prescription Drug Marketing Act, the Pharma Code, the OIG guidelines

  • Promote, and assure that the region promotes, the company's products for the approved indications using the most current company materials.

  • Implement the company's marketing plan, including communicating and providing direction to regional staff

  • Formulate and direct the implementation of region action plan

  • Establish and manage on-going procedures/processes for communication of information necessary for accomplishing region objectives

  • Oversee the proper use by the region of corporate resources and assets

  • Present a positive and professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals and ensure that the region's activities are consistent with Jazz Pharmaceuticals' ethical pharmaceutical marketing and compliance with laws and regulations

  • Maintain strong relationships with major thought leaders in region.

  • Achieve sales forecasts and targets

  • Perform all activities within budget

  • Perform ad-hoc special projects to support specific business needs requested

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • At least three years pharmaceutical sales management experience; management of an Oncology sales team, or additional pharmaceutical development roles outside of sales is preferred

  • At least five years of medical and/or pharmaceutical product sales experience, to include two to three years of sales experience in the area of oncology is preferred

  • Experience in the oncology community market, that includes lung cancer and/or leukemia is a significant plus

  • Extensive travel required.

The primary responsibilities will be to maintain, cultivate, and grow client relationships within the building and design Federal DoD and Federal Civilian Agencies, oversee and lead major pursuits, and lead multiple projects and programs through all phases of planning/ design and construction. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the development of regional market growth strategies, which articulate market trends/drivers and recommended priorities to successfully invest and grow, consistent with the national business line, region, and AECOM's overall growth objectives. Specific to this position, will be a strong emphasis and focus on alternative delivery (D/B, P-3). This position will have a dual reporting to the B+P Northeast Regional Business Line Leader and the National Federal Market Sector Leader for the Americas. The Regional Federal Market Sector Leader will be responsible for achieving annual sales goals through keen understanding of the Federal building and design market place and ability to lead and win key pursuits. The Regional Federal Market Sector Leader will also work in close coordination with the National Governments team of Client Account Leaders, Business Line Leaders, and Regional Business Leaders in targeted pursuits across building and design Architecture, Building Engineering, Master Planning, Interiors, Asset Management, and Workplace Strategy. This position will be based in our Broad Street Office in New York City; alternatively, the position could be based in Clifton NJ. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: * Provides day-to-day administration of the building and design Federal Market practice in the Northeast Region. * Will execute defined practice goals and business plans * Monitors the status of all building and design Federal DoD and Federal Civilian Market projects * Works closely with internal and external general contractors on alternative delivery pursuits and projects. * Regularly reports regional status to the national Federal Market leadership team * Assists in pursuit/client engagements * Management and preparation of strategic/ key proposals, contracting and teaming negotiation, project management and establishing and sustaining relationships with key consultants to support the Federal business Leadership: * Understands the industry, regional client needs, and market drivers * Significant experience in the Building Design Excellence initiatives within the Federal market (i.e. GSA, DoS) * Candidate must have a strong portfolio, background, and experience related to design focused programs * Understands and is passionate about alternative delivery strategies within the Federal market * Responsible for the development and achievement of regional business line sales and revenue goals across all disciplines within Buildings + Places * Develops and executes strategic practice planning and marketing strategies * Works closely with National Federal Market Sector leadership on the execution of key growth initiatives * Periodically acts as Project Lead on specific projects * Serves as business line Client Account Manager for specific client relationships * Prepares and executes business plans for area of responsibility * Conducts interviews/presentations at the executive level * Communicates business performance at the end of each accounting period * Collaborative and integrated delivery leader for all disciplines providing building and design services to the Federal Market Clients: Architecture, Interiors, Engineers, Consulting and Planning Business Development: * Participate in developing annual business plan for the practice * Deep understanding of building and design Federal DoD and Federal Civilian Clients across planning, traditional A/E services, and alternative delivery acquisition strategies * Identifies new business opportunities while developing current client relationships * Lead capture strategy on key marketing and business development opportunities * Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors and jurisdictional/approval agencies * Assist in development of fee proposals for marketing proposals as well as lead presentations with Business Line Leadership * Participates in local or state professional associations and conferences Staff Development: * Participates in interviews and recruitment of professional staff * Conducts employee performance evaluations, responsible for performance development * Participates in office design reviews and critiques * Works closely with senior project managers on the execution of Federal projects Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Building and Design Architecture, Interior Design or related discipline plus 12+ years' of experience in architecture projects with prior management experience in all phases of projects including experience in sales, business development and/or marketing or demonstrated equivalency of education/experience * Proven ability to successfully develop client relationships and win work * Ability to manage multiple projects of a complex scope * Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint, InDesign or other presentation software * Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications * Security Clearance preferred, but not required What We Offer When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
