We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager who is responsible for planning and directing activities and development of the Business Insurance and Employee Health & Benefits sales force in their region, to obtain a sustained competitive advantage and increased revenue.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGIONAL SALES MANAGER:

  • Establish sales objectives for producers and coordinate sales and service efforts to achieve maximum results.

  • Actively participate and contribute as part of the senior management team, providing advice and counsel on all relevant issues and keep posted on regular basis on key issues and developments.

  • Formulate/recommend policies and objectives to insure the most effective operation of sales and growth activities.

  • Maintain sales results by counseling and directing employees, plan, monitor and appraise job results to obtain maximum sales volume.

  • Assist producers in developing sales goals and objectives that support the overall economic needs and goals of the company and incorporate sales goals into the budget process.

  • Assist producers with prospect identification, client acquisition and relationship management skills.

  • Identify, recruit, hire and develop producers to support company goals and objectives.

  • Establish minimum performance criteria for producers.

  • Conduct performance evaluations with producers.

  • Be a model mentor and identify and mentor those capable of assuming future key leadership positions in the firm and lend knowledge and experience to the company's decision making processes.

  • Coordinate the training of new sales staff.

  • Add value and creative thinking to existing executive leadership team.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in carrier activities.

  • Act as an advocate of the organization, promoting all of its services and capabilities to continue to build a reputation as a premier insurance agency.

  • Represent the organization as a progressive leader in the industry in order to capitalize the company position, image and revenue potential.

  • Ensure that the company's environment and culture promotes success throughout the company.

  • Be active and maintain a high profile in community involvement.

  • Perform other projects as assigned.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Current Florida Insurance licenses (220 and 215) or ability to obtain

  • 5+ years of sales/sales management experience preferred, with expertise within the insurance industry with an understanding of the retail agency and its competitive position in the market.

  • College degree desirable; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

  • Strong marketing orientation with the ability to develop strong marketing strategies that meet revenue goals.

  • Ability to build internal/external relationships and develop long-term strategic relationships.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership dynamics with the ability to share a vision, provide direction, build a strong team, collaborate with others and implement change and motivate others to succeed.

  • Strong organization skills.

  • Ability to empathize with others.

  • Strong integrity.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

We are looking for an Insurance Sales Producer in Training who will be responsible for initiating relationships with and onboarding new clients that meet Bouchard's ideal client profile, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenue to the company as outlined in the annual individual business plan. What can you expect? The Insurance Sales Producer in Training (PIT) Program includes six months of dedicated training including all necessary courses to earn 2-15 and 2-20 licenses, insurance coverage training, value added service training, sales training and professional development. All of these are accomplished through a combination of traditional classroom, virtual classroom, presentations and longer form projects. Additionally, the majority of our trainings are conducted by Bouchard Employees or broker and carrier partners. This allows participants to meet and form relationships with the teams and carriers who they will be working with once actively selling. Because our agency has committed so completely to this model, it is clear that we believe in the platform's ability to create the future generation of successful Insurance Sales Producers that will allow us to meet and exceed our current and future goals. Once the employee has completed training, PITs are paid a salary for up to 30 months, during which time they are also eligible for a monthly production bonus. After validating their salary, Insurance Sales Producers have uncapped earning potential and the ability to create residual income. Our agency's dedication to the Producer in Training model has created and sustained a culture of mentorship amongst our sales teams. Bouchard Insurance/MMA has 4 dedicated sales managers whose sole responsibility is to develop, train and mentor our incoming Producers. In addition, our incoming Insurance Sales Producers have the option to learn from our Senior Producer teams who have successfully completed the same training program.
