In this role you will develop the strategic marketing and sales activities of Bell's entire commercial product line in this assigned region.

This is a direct sales position for Bell's commercial product lines. This position will require interaction with private entities, commercial customers, para-public, local and federal government agencies.

Position will also require close coordination and interaction with other stakeholders within Bell and Textron.


  • Manages Bell's commercial sales and marketing efforts within assigned region.

  • Responsible for customer relationships with federal/state government and commercial markets.

  • Represent, negotiate and sell for Bell at all levels within private and civil government agencies.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for all near term and long-term opportunities in territory.

  • Identifies and develops opportunities to grow regional market share, develop relationships for longer term sales prospects and respond to tenders aligned with the global sales strategy for product sales and manufacturing partnership opportunities.

  • Partners with development and engineering teams to incorporate Voice of the Customer feedback into new products and modifications.

  • Continually review and analyze marketing information including prepared reports and professional periodicals and news sources indigenous to territory.

  • Partner with the Marketing & Sales organization to prepare formal and informal proposals requiring coordination with pricing, applications engineering, and marketing data.

  • Maintain market intelligence information -- identify shifting sales trends, political or financial changes and implement strategies to protect Bell business base.

  • Fiduciary responsibility for travel expenses, budget management, and corporate credit card use.

  • Partner with the Bell Helicopter Customer Service and Support organization to maximize sales opportunities within assigned region.

  • Maintain accurate customer information within CRM tool.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation or similar field.
  • MBA/MS preferred.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of aviation industry experience (technical or business or other).

  • At least 8 years of marketing, sales or equivalent experience (technical or business).

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, geographically distributed organization with multiple value streams.

  • Thorough knowledge of local and U.S. business practice requirements for public (to include federal and state) and private sectors.

  • Candidate must have, or be able to obtain, the legal right to conduct business in all countries within his/her assigned region.

  • Spanish and English language fluency.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface at all levels of the customer chain of command, as well as within the Textron Enterprise.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiating, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, geographically distributed organization with multiple value streams.

  • Proficiency in using customer requirements and feedback to help design customized solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Sales experience with large technical and/or luxury items.

  • Prior rotorcraft industry experience.

  • Current helicopter pilot license.

  • Bell product experience.

Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to: * Organizes and directs office functions in Branch Director capacity for office they are based out of while working with Branch Directors/Staffing Managers of offices in their assigned territory * Plans business strategy * Implements policies developed by the Board of Directors while maintaining a liaison between the Board and staff * Understands community and medical staffing needs and establishes goals for recruitment that meet these needs * Actively seeks new business opportunities by responding to RFPs * Works directly with Branch Directors/Staffing Managers in their territory to hire, train and direct staff in all areas to accomplish goals and maintain compliance with regulations and policies and procedures * Performs operational analysis on all offices on routine and on-going basis * Performs sales calls to existing and potential clients * Recommends policies, programs and budgets for Board approval * Delegates responsibility to administrative and supervisory personnel to insure effective programs * Actively seeks opportunities for growth of existing offices and investigates areas of possible expansion * Manages and reports on fiscal matters (budgets, cost determination and control, collections) * Negotiates contracts and agreements for providing services * Develops sales programs to promote and develop the various service lines that the agency offers and performs sales with Branch Directors/Staffing Managers * Monitors the fiscal aspects of the agency including making credit decisions, participating in collection activities, developing an annual agency budget and planning for capital expenditures * Performs screening and first and/or second interviews for office personnel and participates in and/or makes arrangements for training of all new personnel * Assisting Branch Director/Staffing Manager with training, supervising and evaluating existing client service personnel * Developing, implementing and monitoring a recruitment plan for each business unit to insure a steady pipeline of applicants, to include implementing tracking tools and dividing responsibilities to insure that business until goals are met Qualifications To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: * Be able to train and manage personnel * Communicate effectively with health system personnel at all levels * Be able to read and understand a profit/loss statement * Understand the business dynamics of health care systems * Effectively manage sales budget * Effectively manage accounts receivable * Previous recruiting, staffing, sales and management experience * Proven track record of success in the healthcare staffing industry Qualifications: * A Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) from Four-year College or university: or a minimum of two years experience in direct sales of services in health care administration, home health care administration or health related programs and a minimum of two years experience in an administrative position in the staffing and/or home health care field. * Minimum of one year of training and experience in health services administration, home health care administration, or health related programs or equivalent combination of education and experience.
