The Regional Sales Manager position includes a comprehensive benefit package and competitive salary!

Regional Sales Manager: The Regional Sales Manager of DTE Sales will sell self-funded and level-funded products and services, to new small, mid-size and large employer groups, and is responsible for overall management of Sales Executives (5-7) in the geographic area.

Regional Sales Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate new business in designated territory and demographics.

  • Research local companies for target marketing.

  • Initiate lead appointments to prospective clients and meet with them to develop business relationships.

  • Assist in set-up and implementation of new business.

  • Develop ongoing sales strategy to cross-sell to existing clients.

  • Create sales presentations to prospective clients.

  • Negotiate with stop loss carriers on behalf of clients.

  • Maintain pro-active communication with pipeline prospects.

  • Maintain and update client records and sales projections in Salesforce.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years sales management experience with an insurance carrier, managed care organization, agency, TPA or like organization.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Life and Health License required.

  • Knowledgeable in both self-funded and fully-insured products and financial arrangements.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; capable of communicating as a knowledgeable professional to carriers, members and employers.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to develop solution-based strategies and incentives providing health improvement for members and cost reduction for employers.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
