Fully Remote - Candidates must live near an airport within the Chicago AreaA leading manufacturing company that produces cutting-edge transportation solutions for electric transit is seeking a passionate and tech-savvy Regional Sales Manager to join their team in a remote position based out of Chicago, IL In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of a new product in an exploding industry, responsible for driving sales of an electric vehicle line across the Midwest region. The role involves extensive travel to meet with school districts, dealers, and other key stakeholders, building strong relationships to penetrate and grow new markets.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 / year DOERegional Sales Manager Requirements:1 year experience in sales within the transportation sector
Proven relationships with end customers (school districts) or dealers in the industry
Experience selling electric buses, preferably school buses
Bachelor s degree required
High energy, tech-savvy, and passionate about electric vehicle technology
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage a large sales territory
Must reside near a major airport in the Chicago area
Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:Lead sales efforts for the Electric School Bus product line in the Midwest region (MN, WI, MI, IL, IN, OH)Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including school districts and dealers
Conduct extensive travel within the region to meet potential clients and nurture relationships
Develop and execute business strategies to penetrate new markets and drive sales growth
Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, procurement, and production to ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and regulatory developments to align company initiatives
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients
Manage contracts and proposals, ensuring timely follow-up and completion of sales processes
Report on performance metrics and provide insights to senior management
Participate in cold calling and other lead generation activities as needed
