INDUSTRIAL REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Position Summary

WesTech has an immediate need for a Regional Sales Manager. The duties of this position are to sell WesTech Process Equipment, industrial water and waste water equipment, via direct and/or sales representatives. The Industrial Regional Sales Manager will also be the main point of contact at WesTech for outside sales, improve internal and external customer relationships, and capture profitable bookings.

Essential Job Functions

  • Review each prospect prior to it being entered in the data base or submitting to the sales representatives or customers. Determine the following: WesTech's interest in the project, process design, flowsheet development and equipment requirements

  • Work with sales representatives to determine and execute an appropriate strategy to secure the project

  • Visit each territory/ rep agency a minimum of twice per year. Visit customers, develop territory plans, and review current and future opportunities as well as doing agency trainings

  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations

  • Work with other RSM's to ensure proper representative coverage on projects with cross territories

  • Respond daily to email inquiries, web inquiries and representatives' inquiries

  • Review bid and budget activity reports

  • Review proposals and supply supplemental information prior to submission to the sales representatives or customers as needed.

  • Review active proposal list and ensure revisions are passed along

  • Update/review the future bookings report for your sales agencies. Update/submit monthly to Unit Leader and National Sales Manager

  • Communicate unsuccessful proposals updating the data base

  • Develop territory specific list which includes key customers, owners and contractors. Become familiar with competitors in the territory

  • Prepare quarterly sales report for the NSM

  • Investigate the territory to ensure WesTech is being sufficiently represented to secure a leading place in the market

  • Work with NSM to develop an action plan regarding any changes needed with agencies or hiring of representatives

  • Participate in WesTech's annual Rep Training. Encourage participation of agencies

  • Prepare annual sales forecasts by territory

  • Assist in developing market-focused advertisements, brochures, and product literature in conjunction with the marketing department as needed

Required education, experience and physical abilities:

  • College degree or equivalent experience

  • Good organizational and sales skills

  • Required to be flexible with schedules on short notice, including traveling 25-50%

  • Assertive personality with the ability to work with a team and rally support

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated and complete tasks with minimal direction

  • Ability to learn water and wastewater processes for a variety of industrial and municipal applications

Preferred education, experience and abilities:

  • Engineering or Science degree or similar

  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Windows

  • Regional Sales Manager experience in a related field

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at workstation using a computer/phone

  • Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and see. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision

  • When at job sites, stooping, crawling, reaching, handling files, documents, boxes, etc. may be required

  • Regularly required to move around the facility

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Position Profile The Adult Oncology Regional Sales Manager is responsible for Jazz Pharmaceuticals' sales force throughout the Great Plains US region. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the effective promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals products to physicians and other health care providers within the geographic region. The RSM will lead and manage a team of Oncology Account Mangers, in addition to directly promoting the Adult Hematology/Oncology Jazz Pharmaceuticals products. The RSM will also manage projects involving cross-functional communication and activities.This position can be located within close proximity to a major transportation hub to travel throughout the Midwest region. The Regional Sales Manager will: * Manage regional staff including: * Recruit and select excellent Oncology Account Managers * Coach, train and develop Oncology Account Managers to build a strong, progressive and motivated work team * Provide team leadership and ensure that the team performs with integrity * Review employee performance regularly and deal with any performance issues on a timely basis * Know, comply with, and ensure compliance by the region's employees with applicable corporate policies, procedures and guidelines * Understand the regulatory environment and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including those of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Prescription Drug Marketing Act, the Pharma Code, the OIG guidelines * Promote, and assure that the region promotes, the company's products for the approved indications using the most current company materials. * Implement the company's marketing plan, including communicating and providing direction to regional staff * Formulate and direct the implementation of region action plan * Establish and manage on-going procedures/processes for communication of information necessary for accomplishing region objectives * Oversee the proper use by the region of corporate resources and assets * Present a positive and professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals and ensure that the region's activities are consistent with Jazz Pharmaceuticals' ethical pharmaceutical marketing and compliance with laws and regulations * Maintain strong relationships with major thought leaders in region. * Achieve sales forecasts and targets * Perform all activities within budget * Perform ad-hoc special projects to support specific business needs requested Essential Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent * At least three years pharmaceutical sales management experience; management of an Oncology sales team, or additional pharmaceutical development roles outside of sales is preferred * At least five years of medical and/or pharmaceutical product sales experience, to include two to three years of sales experience in the area of oncology is preferred * Experience in the oncology community market, that includes lung cancer and/or leukemia is a significant plus * Extensive travel required.
