Regional Sales Executive:

In today's complex regulatory environment tax and accounting professionals struggle to keep up with change. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about a career in sales. This position is focused on new business development and will be responsible for representing our on-premise and cloud based indirect tax products and solutions to potential clients. While working in an agile, visionary environment, you will be challenged with actively searching for leads, collaborating with partners and generating sales to help continue to develop the fastest growing portion of the Tax & Accounting business unit. This team is a reciprocal group that promotes creative thought and idea sharing. This is a field sales role serving the Midwest market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospect to C-Level Corporate Tax Executives, presenting sophisticated cloud based and on-premise software solutions

  • Respond to Prospect RFIs and RFPs

  • Discuss the use of products, emphasizing product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities

  • Schedule and conduct product demonstrations

  • Maintain a working knowledge of company products, special sales programs and marketing efforts within the sales division.

  • Utilize, Hoovers, and other tools to develop leads

  • Negotiate sales contracts

Critical competencies for success:

  • You will lead a complex enterprise level solution sales process.

  • You have strong consultative sales expertise and negotiation.

  • You are technically savvy and demonstrate knowledge in the SaaS domain.

Basic qualifications:

  • Seven years sales experience in a quota carrying role

  • Experience selling SaaS solutions

  • Experience working with legal on contract terms and conditions

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • Excellent phone, written and presentation skills

  • Validated succes in achieving sales targets year over year

  • Experience developing and reporting on a sales pipeline using, Act, or similar software

  • Experience in selling departmental or enterprise offerings into major corporations

  • Ability to function well in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively

Preferred Education/Experience/

  • MBA, other business related advanced degrees or certifications

  • Expertise in selling tax or accounting workflow solutions

  • You are located in the Chicago, IL or Minneapolis, MN market

This individual will be responsible for generating profitable revenue growth through marketing all products and services within a defined geographic territory by focusing 50% of time and effort on retaining and growing revenue with existing customers, and 50% of time focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop and maintain functional knowledge of the products, services and operations offered by the company and actively participate in product training sessions. * Interact regularly with station and operations managers, and develop close and cooperative working relationship with operational staff to ensure the customer's needs are met. * Schedule and conduct a pre-determined number of face-to-face sales calls as directed by the sales or station management. * Input sales call information into the sales data system, or other designated sales call software provided by the company and/or provide sales reports as directed by sales or station management. * Maintain a pre-determined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing. * Meet sales threshold/quota as defined by the company. * Work cooperatively with other sales and operational staff to support a team-selling environment. * Perform responsibilities in accordance with the terms of the Sales Performance Policy, Commission Model, and Acknowledgement Form. * Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience * High School Degree or GED required. * Bachelor's Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience and education, or completion of the LDP program. * Minimum one to three years related in sales. * Minimum two years industry experience. Certifications and Licenses * Valid state issued driver's license. * Acceptable driving record. * Proof of current automobile insurance.
