Professionally directs territory sales strategies within the defined territory. Responsible for profitably growing Norbar branded and Norbar Engineer-to-Order product sales. Develops and maintains high-level contacts and professional relationships within assigned territory to leverage Norbar's position and capitalize on current and emerging customer needs. Must be ready to accept the challenge of building a market presence within the assigned territory by providing superior customer service and support to existing customers while expanding both the current customer base and distributor sales channels.


  • Territory management and service

  • Make regular contact with customers providing prompt, courteous and competent service by:

  • Analyze all accounts, contracts and develop strategies for growth and profitability

  • Negotiate ethically on price, terms and conditions consistent with Norbar values and strategies

  • Penetrate existing accounts to expand market share

  • Maintain Company customer contact database

  • Provide exceptional customer service (including returns, broken tool processing, etc.) and ensure pertinent information is distributed within the Norbar team

  • Work with the Norbar team to create accurate quotes, generate orders and reference information via various systems

  • Manage and account for all demo inventory at all times.

  • Recruit, manage and help train distributor channel partners, provide strategies and targets for distributors, and support their efforts

  • Implement expenses controls where applicable

  • Prepare requisite reporting (sales activity reports, expense reports, customer call documentation, etc.) as required or directed by the manager



  • Bachelor degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5+ years outside sales and successful sales territory management

  • Significant travel within the assigned territory expected

  • Demonstrated success in building and supporting a distribution sales network capable of selling engineered solutions in the torque and high-torque marketplace

  • Strong leadership skills required. Previous territory management and distributor management is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success in managing increased responsibility and achieving required goals

  • Excellent written & verbal skills

  • Impeccable personal presentation; ability to present effectively and appropriately internally & externally to all levels in an organization - from shop floor to executive level

  • Must be PC proficient, including use of Microsoft Office Suite products - Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as PowerPoint. Also must be proficient in use of various company and vendor software programs for quoting, ordering and referencing information

  • Valid driver's license with impeccable driving record

  • Knowledge of industrial power tool market, with an emphasis on torque and high-torque products a plus
