The Regional Sales Director (RSD) will be responsible for first line management of Osteoarthritis Account Managers (OAMs) and Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) for Synvisc-One/Synvisc (a buy and bill and specialty pharmacy product) in alignment with a company's vision, value, and goals. The RSD will represent Sanofi Joint Health as a leader in the healthcare industry through demonstration and provision of dependable and credible education, information, and professional assistance.

The Regional Sales Director is a high level first line manager role responsible for the oversight of a team of Osteoarthritis Account Managers (OAMs) who will be promoting approved client products within key institutions, IDN's etc. He/she will also be responsible for delivering on all contractual obligations, as well as personnel, and operational requirements. The RSD will report to the NSD and will work across the IQVIA organization and collaborate both internally and with the client to ensure all sales goals are met.


  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from a four-year accredited college or university

  • 5+ years' experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Sales industry

  • 3+ years Sales leadership experience required

  • Key Account Management experience (e.g. experience in a hospital, Long Term Care, or Business to Business) required

  • 1+ year of Buy & Bill experience required

  • Contracting experience with IDNs and hospitals

  • Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with a CSO preferred

  • Previous experience in the visco supplement market

  • Strong technological skills with an ability to demonstrate effective leadership and selling skills via virtual platforms

  • Ability to effectively communicate directly with the client to ensure that all goals and objectives are being met

  • Strong business acumen and ability to clearly and concisely convey and report detailed information to internal sales management, as well as the client

  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a team environment

  • Ability to travel as needed


  • Recruit, interview, and hire OAMs

  • Develop and lead team to execute regional business plans and develop regional business strategies to meet client regional and national objectives

  • Responsible for performance management, as well as development and retention of OAMs

  • Provide training, coaching, follow-up, and development of OAMs in all phases of their work in the field and virtually

  • Act as a link between client and IQVIA for operational and Human Resources needs

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of training and client meetings to inform, train, and motivate OAMs

  • Review and approve expense reports; monitor compliance with expense policies as required.

  • Monitor compliance regarding proper and appropriate use of approved client resources

  • Keep current on relevant matters including industry, client, and IQVIA business, policies, and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for reviewing, recommending, or approving commercial real estate credit applications within assigned approval limits, keeping risk exposure consistent with bank loan quality guidelines. * Facilitate an effective credit analysis, underwriting, and quality control process that ensures the timely and accurate completion of credit authorization in compliance with all Bank policies, guidelines, and procedures. * Responsible for managing real estate underwriting teams (individual contributors), analysts, and may supervise underwriting supervisors; includes hiring, ongoing training, and performance reviews. May be required to lead Credit Analyst internship programs with local university students for the benefit of the bank. * Lead and/or participate in projects that have broad impact across lines of business and/or business functions in line with Bank's Mission, Strategic Priorities and Key Objectives. * Develop recommendations to modify, amend, add or delete Bank policies, guidelines and procedures to increase efficiency, improve quality and improve speed to market. * Partner with Credit Administration, Credit Review and other internal groups (appraisal, environmental, legal/loan documentation) to ensure effective credit approval, portfolio management and loan documentation processes, including remediation of material audit findings. * Responsible for adhering to assigned departmental budget, including preparation, tracking and forecasting. * Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities -- knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training.
