Job Description:

H&E Rentals has an opening for a Regional Safety Manager. Under the general direction of the Senior Safety Manager, this position seeks to provide a safe working environment, ensuring policies and procedures are understood and enforced. This position conducts safety assessments by inspecting and touring branches in their assigned region(s) to evaluate safety programs, safe working conditions, and environmental conditions. They investigate incidents and injuries to determine unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions. They develop and conduct safety training on safe work practices, new safety products, policies, and procedures. They will also work with the branch operations personnel related to post-injury management as applicable.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with 5 plus years of safety experience in construction, industrial, or heavy equipment environment; may consider experience in lieu of education

• Willing to travel 50% of the time

• Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures

• Ability to understand, interpret and facilitate OSHA/MSHA/DOT compliance requirements with branch operations personnel

• Ability to understand and assist with Workers' Compensation claims

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Above average skills in software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.)

• Proficient in using web-based safety software (e.g., EHS Insight, eCarma, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• CSP certification is a plus

• Previous supervisory experience is a plus
