McGee Air Services is looking for an experienced Regional Safety Manager to lead our best-in-class safety operation for our San Francisco - Bay Area Operations.
The pay band for this role is $76,861 - $115,291
The Hiring Target for this role is $85,000 - $95,000
The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for evaluating the safety protocols followed within the station operation, identifying trends, and implementing corrective action. Additionally, this role will organize safety training for team members to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide safety oversight and support in all operational areas and key processes to include: ramp, airport operations, facility/equipment, and employee injury management.
Responsible for station's compliance with all regulatory policies (OSHA, FAA, TSA)
Drive continued improvement in developing a strong safety culture
Partners with Customer's Safety Management team to continuously improve station's safety and compliance
Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in scorecard safety metrics and partners with other operations leaders to carry out and monitor corrective actions
Trains and develops safety supervisors to assist in all aspects of safety oversight
Participates in weekly Ground Incident Report review meetings with Customer and McGee station leadership
Drive ongoing training for operational teams to support culture of Safety
Provide a wide variety of safety communication and information using a multi-media approach
Support operational leaders with safety briefings
Assure that airport operations procedures, processes, equipment and facilities are adequate to maintain a safe, and compliant work environment for all personnel
Protect employee safety and the company's long-term liability by assessing and actively mitigation potential risks associated with operations
Conduct accident/incident investigations and analysis to identify root causes and eliminate or mitigate hazards
Coordinate local drug testing in accordance with Company Drug Testing Policies and Protocols
Conduct and oversee the safety investigation processes to ensure accurate root cause and effective corrective actions
Facilitate station safety committee meetings and follow-up on safety concerns identified by the committee
Demonstrate and maintain open and honest communication, creating an inclusive, engaging and high-performance culture that demonstrates McGee's values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability and Pride

REQUIREMENTS:
College degree in applicable field preferred
Minimum 3 years aviation or airline industry experience preferred
Minimum 3 years project management experience preferred
Working knowledge of safety management system (SMS) and airline security compliance requirements required
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, TSA, and FAA regulations and requirements related to customer and ground handling required
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience conducting root cause analysis and development of corrective actions required
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company
Ability to lead and direct the work of a team and to drive safety performance and a compliant culture
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to use time management skills to maximize daily production
