Your responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure resident's healthcare needs are met

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of community-based licensed nursing staff (LPN/LVN, RN), the Med Techs/CMAs (if required by State Regulations) and/or Lead Resident Care Associates

  • Manage the health care of residents, including the dissemination of information to families and associates and ensure that family members are aware of the resident's needs

  • Supervise the maintenance of resident charts and reviews documentation performed by care giving staff

  • Provide training, supervision, and monitoring of associates in the administration of medications as described/allowed in Nurse Practice Act, to include auditing of medication administration records

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse licensure

  • Three years of relevant experience

  • Basic typing skills along with a working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software are required, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment

  • Ability to assess a situation and start actions to ensure compliance, enhance quality of care and provide training

  • Must be willing to travel

This position will manage the Lincoln Career Center. Hours: 8-5, Monday - Friday. Job location is 1111 O Street, Downtown. Examples of Work Plan, organize, coordinate and provide administrative direction regarding the delivery of employment and training programs under the Wagner-Peyser Act, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Jobs for Veterans Act, and all other laws/programs providing employment and training services. Develop and conduct public relation activities, across the region, to explain the various employment and training programs available to employers, labor organizations, governmental agencies, community groups and the general public. Establish and oversee the development of performance goals, priorities and policies for employment and training programs administered by the Nebraska Department of Labor. Prepare annual budgets for the Career Center and monitor fiscal expenditures on an on-going basis to ensure program allocations are not exceeded. Establish and evaluate program performance goals and standards to ensure continuous program improvement. Coordinate and collaborate with other State agencies, local governmental agencies, employers, community services, labor organizations, local training agencies and other organizations in the public and private sector to ensure positive relationships are developed and maintained. Responsible for the supervision and operational control of the Lincoln NDOL office. Responsible for personnel management to align with program performance goals and priorities. Travel required. Qualifications / Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in public or business administration, financial management, social/behavioral sciences, human services or related field PLUS 3 years experience in program management with employment and training programs OR Associates degree in public or business administration, financial management, human services or related field PLUS 5 years experience in program management, 3 of which are employment and training programs. PREFERRED: Masters Degree in public or business administration, financial management, social/behavioral sciences, human services or related field. OTHER: Valid driver's license or ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point); Management Information Systems (MIS) and Electronic Content Management (ECM) used to track workforce program information; NEworks. Skilled in: Communicating with others to relay information; public speaking; listening to and understanding others; negotiating, mediating; identifying creative solutions for problem solving; conflict resolution.
