Regional Parks has an exciting opportunity for Pool Manager, who are responsible for training, leading and supervising Lifeguards; and ensuring customers adhere to pool rules while maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. Pool Managers conduct opening and closing procedures, review the daily slide checks Waterslide Maintenance Log documentation, and maintain a fun, safe environment. Opportunities exist in Cucamonga-Guasti, Glen Helen, and Yucaipa Regional Parks.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Availability: Must be available to work varied schedules, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Positions are part-time (0-39 hours/week). Assignments and schedules are made based on the needs of the Parks Department. These are seasonal positions working from May through September.
Lifeguard training and certifications will be provided by the department starting in March.
All applicants are required to provide Lifeguard, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certifications valid through September 2019. All requirements must be met before the first day of employment.
Background: Incumbents must successfully complete a background check, including fingerprinting, prior to appointment.
Note: These are recurrent, non-regular positions. The successful candidate shall be considered at-will throughout the term of their employment, and will not attain regular status.

The ideal candidate will be a strong swimmer with experience working in a swim facility. Candidates who have participated in aquatic sports such as swim or water polo are strongly encouraged to apply. Bilingual abilities are also strongly desired.
