Job Description:

Hydraulic Supply Company (HSC), a division of Motion Industries, is seeking a Regional Branch Operations Manager (District Manager) in the Southeast, US to lead, develop, and drive a portfolio of 8-10 branches in the Retail and Service business segment of HSC. Responsibilities

  • Manage team of 8-10 branch/operations managers in both the Retail and Service business segments of HSC

  • Responsible for leading designated portfolio of branches to achieving defined growth, operational excellence, and sales targets

  • Full responsibility for hiring, building, training, and evaluating branch operations teams, as well as driving accountability

  • Provide unparalleled sales support to the Sales group and maintain key relationships with Sales Management team

  • Ensure customer service and value-add is a key focus in every interaction

  • Maintain high volume of facetime and hands on exposure with branch teams

  • Ensure contributing team members are aligned in executing branch and division initiatives

  • Analyze markets and develop strategies for operational improvement, drive those strategies through teams to implementation

  • Identify best approach to coach and motivate each member specific to their individual strengths

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales team, internal managers, key customers, and strategic vendors

  • Create and foster synergy between outside sales team and operations teams

  • Work with other Regional Branch Operations Managers (District Managers) to share knowledge and identify best practices and strategies across the organization

  • Identify key operational improvement opportunities and drive execution through designated branches

  • Responsible for maintaining audit and inventory performance at branches

  • Negotiate with vendors, contractors, and support arms to maintain operations at assigned branches

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, problem solver, collaborator

  • Highly organized, detailed, and focused

  • Ability and willingness to travel 50%+

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong business acumen

  • Operations and management experience required

  • Experience in Microsoft Office with high proficiency in Excel

  • High degree of time management

  • Understanding of supply chain and distribution

  • Knowledge and experience in industrial products/fluid power a plus

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
