The Regional Operations Officer is primarily responsible for ensuring that a geographic group of banking center locations and individuals achieve optimum results utilizing performance and risk reporting, conducting in-person observations, behavioral reinforcement, and employee coaching and development through banking center visits.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Banking Center Observation Visits: Conduct frequent observations within Banking Centers to inspect consumer and small business client interactions, employee use of prescribed client service protocols, use of banking center technology, marketing/merchandising placement, business partner interaction and workforce management. Provide behavioral reinforcement to achieve desired outcomes and improve the total bank experience from a client's point of view. Role model expected behaviors for Banking Center employees and provide immediate coaching

  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Ensure Banking Centers are in compliance with established consumer and small business operating policies and procedures and all outside regulatory requirements to protect against reputational and financial risk. Conduct periodic onsite risk assessments. Assist Regional Operations Manager in researching and investigation of regulatory, legal, quality assurance, and employee relations issues including policy and procedure violations for resolution and recommended disposition. Support special projects as assigned to mitigate risk in the banking center

  • Banking Center Efficiencies: Optimize results by developing and implementing banking center procedures; enhance the client experience with acceptable risk, eliminate activities that drive non-profitable business, remove existing performance barriers. Support special projects as assigned to achieve efficiencies in the banking center

  • Training & Development: Support development and delivery of consumer and small business operational training for new and existing employees. Conduct training follow-up visits, assist with employee certification process, identify additional development needs and engage in career development conversations. Provide guidance to banking center staff to assist in the resolution of complex operational and customer service issues. Assist in creating new and updating existing policies and procedures as needed and ensure timely communication and education is provided

  • Client Experience: Use the client experience portal, digital transaction reporting and workforce management data to enhance the consumer and small business client experience by recommending and implementing strategies to enact change within banking centers and individuals

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to critically assess banking centers, processes, employee behavior, and risk exposure to ensure positive client experience

  • Ability to develop a collaborative partnerships

  • General knowledge of financial products and services, bank operations, practices and procedures, applicable consumer banking laws, banking regulations and industry compliance issues

  • Ability to provide leadership and direction, coach employees for improved performance and influence change

  • Ability to make recommendations to senior management on revenue, products/processes, and/or cost savings opportunities

  • Ability to adjust schedule to changing priorities and expectations

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a business related field and 35 years related banking experience or 810 years equivalent work related experience. Experience managing (direct or indirect) multiple banking center locations is preferred.

This mission-critical role serves as the key steward for a portfolio of prospective philanthropists in support of the American Red Cross. We are located at 2700 Southwest Fwy, Houston, 77098. Responsibilities 1. Strategy: Develops and executes ongoing strategy for qualifying donors in extensive donor discovery, retention and growth of donor contributions as well as recapture from previous donors. Works collaboratively with other departments and partners with development staff at the National Office to create customized solicitation strategies matching the objectives of the organization and interests of the donor/prospect. 2. Fundraising Targets and Portfolio Management: Manages an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects with intent to discover donor potential. Responsible for minimum annual fundraising goal tied to blended portfolio as specified in performance standards, including both renewable gifts and new incremental revenue. Develop aggregate donor management plans resulting in primarily phone interaction and local face to face solicitation. Revenue target may increase due to major domestic disasters. Serve as mentor/informal leader to less experienced team members and operational resource in the areas of retention and strengthening donor relationships. 3. Prospect Development: Implements programs/activities to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors at the $2,500 level or higher, with an emphasis on maximizing revenue for the American Red Cross. May work with community Board members and other leadership volunteers to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward appropriate donors. Updates donor records in region and/or district database and Salesforce following donor contacts. 4. Relationship Development: Accountable for cultivating relationships of individual and organizational fundraising with focus on retention, recapture and growth. Responsible for new business development and the need to steward donor relationships until annual hand off of accounts occurs which meets channel design and donor centric principles. 5. It is the responsibility of all Red Cross staff members to recruit, train and work with volunteers and to treat all clients, volunteers, guests, and other employees in a courteous and respectful manner at all times while maintain a cooperative atmosphere for everyone. It is expected that each member of the regional management team to work with a volunteer counterpart to ensure key volunteers are utilized and ensure depth within the function. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree highly desirable. Experience: Minimum five years sales and/or fundraising experience required.
