Job Description

The Regional Operations Manager oversees all aspects of operations on a high level including commercial order processing and yard operations. This individual is responsible for the strategic alignment of all operations functions across the region to ensure consistency across the company to become a more productive and efficient team. The Regional Operations Manager will directly manage the branch-level operations managers. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and indirectly reports to the Regional Director. Support the Doka USA Strategy, budget planning, and develop a one-year strategy. This position is responsible for evolving the operational workforce to a performance culture/performance-based culture.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the branch operations in the Region.

  • Directly manage all Operations Managers on a branch level and ensure their needs are met to be successful.

  • Partner with the corresponding Regional Director for strategic alignment.

  • Align processing and improvement through Operational KPIs, regional budgets, CapEx and cost tracking.

  • Create and execute consistent process execution across all branches.

  • Oversee and manage safety protocols, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment for all employees in partnership with the Safety Director.

  • Reviews internal procedures, recommends process improvements and ensures compliance to existing Doka corporate processes and standards within the region.

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR for any recruiting, onboarding, integrating, and training needs for all FTE to ensure a smooth and positive transition into the team.

  • Responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting audits, and implementing efficient tracking systems to ensure accurate inventory stock.

  • Manage the P&L Cost Center and DOH in alignment with Area Managers to include FTE and headcount planning.

  • Continually manage operational skills & competency needs to include future planning.

  • Continually work to progress and improve operational business functions to evolve to the Doka standard.

  • Confirm regional procurement of goods and services is coordinated with the Regional Controller and Procurement for the respective areas of responsibility within the signing authority limits and in compliance with the procurement guidelines.

  • Responsible for managing the rollout of new operational projects.

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans and succession planning.

  • Additional responsibilities as needed and determined by the Director of Operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred concentration in Operations, Controlling/Finance or Logistics or equivalent work experience.

  • Recent management experience in administration, operations, or logistics.

  • Ability to facilitate projects and effectively manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).

  • Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, a strategic mindset, negotiation skills, and effective problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel required.

  • Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts, and techniques.

  • Possesses strong leadership skills, effectively manages a diverse team and achieves results

  • Able to work as an organized team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.

  • Able to travel within the region that is required, up to 60% on average.
