Under the direction of the Regional General Manager and in collaboration with the Operations Department, the Field Operations Manager will have direct management of regional store managers, work with employees and customers to improve customer service, streamline branch processes, and meet/exceed financial goals within their region in a sustainable manner. The Field Operations Manager will have strong leadership abilities, have a positive outlook, embrace challenges, learn quickly, and be able to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines independently with a high degree of accuracy.
Direct management of regional store managers, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
Examines, measures, and improves operations throughout their region to ensure effective and efficient customer service and maximized profitability.
Collaborates with Regional Sales Management on overall customer and revenue growth strategy and supports the implementation of that strategy within the region.
Uses strategic thinking and controls to create operational improvements to help employees and store managers be effective in their roles.
Collaborates with Human Resources in the development and implementation of training programs for store personnel, including technical training, management skills, and other educational needs/opportunities.
Enforces compliance with company policies and procedures, working with peers and Operations to develop new policies, procedures, and control measures as needed.
Participates in random branch audits and assures their completion. Investigates discrepancies thoroughly and effectively in partnership with store, regional, and Operations management. Participates in physical inventories where needed.
Educates, monitors, and reports on branch metrics and financial performance with store personnel, and participates in the annual budgeting process.
Conducts regular meetings with store managers and personnel.
Identifies gaps in coverage within the region and steps in where needed on short notice.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, Supply Chain, or Business with emphasis in Accounting/Finance, and/or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
Experience with Six Sigma/Lean/Kaizan business principles preferred.
Experience in the HVAC/R, distribution or similar industry preferred.
