Supporting our Airgas Dry Ice (ADI) Division, this role will manage the overall operations of two or more facilities that distribute Dry Ice product line. With a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, distribution operations, maintenance, and capital expenditures, we are looking for someone to treat this region like they own it. As such, they will have direct accountability for profitability of branches in the region.


  • Manages all operations personnel in region in accordance with company policies by hiring", training", motivating", planning and directing work", managing performance and resolving associate issues so that assigned performance targets are met or exceeded. Oversee the operations to ensure safety", efficiency and productivity.

  • Works with management team to develop operating and capital budgets and coordinates capital expenditures once proper approvals have been received.

  • Manage the Process Safety Management (PSM) program.

  • Works with safety personnel to coordinate the procedures required for compliance with OSHA", DOT", EPA", FDA", and state regulations.

  • Supervise Branch Managers", Customer Service Representatives", and Field Service personnel including establishing goals and objectives for subordinates.

  • Resolves operational", manufacturing", and maintenance problems to ensure customer needs are met in the most profitable and efficient manner.

  • Develops", implements and revises", as needed", standard operational practices.

  • Ensures that the fleet is being used efficiently by monitoring the dispatching process.

  • Provides technical and operational support to sales force as needed. Frequent communication with Account Managers", hosts customer visits to branches", and visits customer locations with Account Managers as needed.

  • Interact with other Airgas group companies as needed to ensure consistent supply of products sourced from ADI


  • Engineering or equivalent technical Degree (B.S.)

  • 8 to 10 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in the following areas:

  • Operations and facility management

  • Distribution management

  • working with hazardous chemicals and/or compressed gases

  • compliance with federal/state regulations regarding handling and shipping of hazardous chemicals", particularly DOT and OSHA regulations

  • Safety and Compliance.

  • Travel of 30% - 50% will typically be required

  • Strong aptitude for and understanding of basic business and financial principles

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills", both verbal and written

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers", regulatory agencies", or members of the business community

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-14T00:00 Overview The Regional Director of Operations (DO) has four main areas of responsibility: personnel management, client management, clinical quality management and operations management for the jails in their region. The DO ensures the highest quality clinical care is delivered to the inmates entrusted to our care by allocating our healthcare funds to deliver the most appropriate care to the greatest number of inmates. The DO ensures we meet or exceed our commitments to all stakeholders: our employees, our clients, our board and each other. This is accomplished by providing guidance, direction and support to the HSAs, ensuring our clinical staff are trained and supported in the delivery of care, providing key performance information to our clients, acting as the conduit for the sharing of information between the field and the corporate office, and collaborating with all functions in the corporate office. Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field. * Master's Degree preferred. Experience: * Five plus years of experience in healthcare operations management required, correctional health experience preferred. * Multi-site management experience required. Licenses/Certifications: * None required. Responsibilities * Mentor, coach and support HSAs * Review clinical and operating metrics versus expectations * Evaluate individual HSA performance and identify development opportunities * Review and approve, with the HSA, his or her team member performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities * Liaison between HSAs and corporate office/executive team * Collaborate with all corporate functions to ensure program success (HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, etc) * Ensure that facilities under management achieve clinical, service, and operating objectives * Provide regular written communications on key performance indicators, statistics, facility developments, and important developments * Conduct regularly scheduled site visits, include discussion of any issues/concerns/opportunities. * Monitor adherence to contract, P&Ps, rules and regulations for assigned counties * Liaison with outside community medical and behavioral health partners to ensure program success * Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Sheriff's staff, custody staff and medical staff * Identify and share best practices with jail staff * Comply with contract reporting requirements * Works with business development team on annual contract renewals * Attend quarterly Quality Assurance meetings * Coordinate and schedule QA meetings with PMs and other DOs * Review P&P after PMs/HSAs make changes, submit to COO and/or CMO for final approval * Participate in weekly CMO call * Assist with accreditation/compliance process * Provide training/standardized in-services and on-boarding for staff as needed * Engage in proactive and on-going performance management * Oversee work with drug formulary compliance by working in collaboration with clinical leadership * Manage off-site referral process through collaborating with CMO and UM/RN as well as using tools like AristaMD * Monitor compliance to staffing plans, manage changes to staffing plans with input from HSA, Finance, COO. * Document approved changes to staffing plans and ensure all approvals are received * Authorize equipment purchases and communicate needs to corporate office * Manage key operating metrics: including staffing/schedules/payroll, labor, supply, pharmacy, staff retention * Participate in development of annual operating plan * Perform other duties as assigned.
