Home Office: Regional Operations Director ALF
Position Summary:
The Regional Operations Director is to delegate the responsibility for selected communities in the assisted living division. Reports directly to a Vice President of Operations / or SVP for the Assisted Living Division. This position is responsible for operational excellence, maintaining the Americare culture of Hometown Hospitality, and ensuring quality operations at each community to meet resident, employee, fiscal goals and needs. This position also directs a regional Sales/ Community outreach representative and collaborates with the resources of regional Nurse Consultant and Operations Business Consultant.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable for creating a culture of accountability within region that defines the actions needed to produce results. Clearly sets targets and provides direction on achieving community and regional goals and empowers individuals to be part of the solution to obstacles that stand in the way of meeting goals.
Oversees community management to ensure accountability for the control, utilization, and conservation of the physical and financial assets of each community.
Monitoring community compliance with operating rules, laws and regulations and the principles and policies each institution practices to see that they are ethical and sound.
Ensure that each administrator creates a positive work environment for employees and for consistent execution of the Hometown Hospitality customer service/employee retention program.
Provides secondary oversight (behind community administrator), and works collaboratively with regional nurse to ensure clinical compliance and practice in community along with Americare Standards and programs.
Sales Management: Ensure that community management is accountable for an effective sales effort that achieves maximum occupancy and value per unit and for changing course when activities are not producing the desired occupancy results.
Conducts weekly Sales Activity Board reviews with each administrator in the region for focus communities and bi monthly for others, to ensure that enough lead generating activities and effective prospect development is taking place and coaches administrators how to change course if activities are not producing desired occupancy results.
Proactively identifies communities within the region where supplemental sales support in the area of lead generation or prospect management is needed and deploys the regional sales representative accordingly. Also requests assistance from SVP of Sales and Marketing when needed. Coaches' regional sales representative how to change course if activities are not producing desired occupancy results.
Responsible for the recruitment, selection, coaching and direction for ADM role and for other roles within community as needed.
Holds ADM accountable for positive work environment for employee and consistent execution of the Hometown Hospitality customer service,
Ensures recruitment, retention and engagement strategies are in place in each community utilizing the tools ( on line application , HR support , and War on Turnover Toolbox )
Provides mentoring, coaching and development of the ADM leadership
Provides training within to wide range of individual's to reinforce Americare culture, team building and programs.
Responsible to monitor each community to see that all ASL directives are followed.
Completes community audit process with follow up action planning and holds administrators accountable for progress on plan.
Assumes on-call status and is prepared to assist administrators with emergency decisions and situations.
Responsible for serving as interim administrator or appointing an interim administrator in times of termination.
Monitors each community's financial performance through the use of budget performance reports, payroll performance reports and criteria on Americare Dashboard.
Supports the accomplishment of Americare' s Organizational and Divisional Strategic plans by involvement in work groups, pilot projects and creative approaches to Assisted Living and Senior Care environment to reach established goals.
Work with Regional Start up OPS Director in planning and successful implementation of new starts or transitional properties ( ALF- MC)
Ensures each community has established goals and action steps that correspond to divisional and organizational goals, and monitor progress through year with correction as needed.
Sets goals and action steps with regional collaborative team- regional nurse, regional sales, and divisional business consultant, to meet community and division goals.
Monthly report to VP, President and collaborative team - that provides current update of community status and performance.
Work Environment
This position operates in remotely in a home office setting. They will need to be able to relate to all levels of the facilities with the ability to plan, implement, and support systems. Be a team player that motivates and educates other team members. Be able to translate technical languages to lay audiences.
Physical Demands
This position must have the ability to handle computer tasks of some complexity in a variety or an independent and responsible manner. The must also have the ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail while following protocol. This role needs to have a full understanding and ability to utilize a computer and learn required software as designated by company protocol. Employee must also have an understanding and ability to follow all regulations and policies by the State and Board of Directors. Employee must have communication skills to be able to interact with Home Health and Americare staff.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am through 4:30 pm CST. There will be possible overnight stays while visiting communities within the region and on-call hours in case of emergency out in the field.
Travel
This position requires daily travel to communities within the region with overnight schedule for communities at distance, to ensure time on site to support community needs. Additional they will travel via Air to organization meetings as well.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:
The Successful Candidate Will
Knowledge of sound administrative procedures and the ability to recruit, train Retain, and direct the work of others.
Knowledge of sound financial management practices.
Knowledge of and ability to implement sound and effective sales management.
Ability to conduct and lead meetings.
Ability to provide guidance and leadership to administrators.
Ability to develop leadership and people skills in others through training and acting as a role model in the division.
Experience and ability to establish training plans- and to execute training to wide range of individuals with various experience levels- ADM, DON or front line.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
At least 4 years of successful experience in administrative or supervisory position. Experience in Multi-site management or as Senior ADM role a plus.
Knowledge of MO/KS/TN/MS/IL regulations for ALF- as determined by region
