JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Regional Office Sales Manager will organize, and lead a regional sales
office for ATS Logistics. The Regional Office Sales Manager will have office
profitability expectations and will be asked to perform a wide variety of daily
tasks. Responsibilities may include management, interviewing, recruiting,
booking freight, quoting, sales, marketing and promotion.

The Regional Office Sales Manager will have office profitability expectations
and will be asked to perform a wide variety of daily tasks. Responsibilities may
include management, interviewing, recruiting, booking freight, quoting, sales,
marketing and promotion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage office employees
Establishes business with new accounts
Build rapport with operations and St. Cloud Staff
Mentor Employees
Develop marketing/promotional mix for office
Recruit
Negotiate rates with shippers, entering and recording all terms and
conditions of shipment agreements
Qualifies new customers/shipments matching ATS Logistics requirements with
shippers needs and profile
Responds to customers requests for service and resolves customer issues
Makes sales presentations
Manage a book of business in excess of a million dollars annually

QUALIFICATIONS

Higher education (i.e. two or four year degree) preferred but not required
2-5 years Management Experience
Transportation knowledge/experience
Good understanding of marketing, sales and customer service
Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit

The candidate must be able to impart operational knowledge on the various sales agencies and sales knowledge for both the sales agents and corporate representatives. The person in this position must identify and resolve internal and external issues and maintain positive employee, customer and sales agent relations. This position will also have various other duties to help maintain the DLSW platform. Develop and expand a network of company owned and/or sales agent stations for expedited freight transportation within assigned region. Develop and expand a nationwide network of independent commission sales representatives. Manages multiple assignments simultaneously applying a thorough knowledge of air transportation, international cargo, expedited services, logistics products, services and technologies. Understands and effectively utilizes the resources required to ensure that the established objectives are met. Provide directions and instructions to sales and work group as needed for success. Provide oral and written presentations to senior leadership and external customers Required Skills * Candidate should minimally have a college degree and at least a combined 7 years experience in both sales and operations in either domestic and/or international logistics. Experience with TSA, IATA and FMC would be beneficial. Other key attributes would be the ability to convey pricing strategies to Agents as well as Corporate Reps as well as direct interaction with Core Providers to attain necessary Service and Price Packages. * Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and must be able to effectively present and respond to questions from managers, agents, clients and co-workers. We employ a consultative approach and is a Client advocate; candidate must already embrace these ideals and strategy * Candidate must be confident in his/her ability to develop and expand a regional network with sales agent stations.
