Nye Health Services is seeking an experienced clinical leader to join our home office team as Regional Nurse Coordinator, reporting directly to the VP of Clinical Operations. This centralized role will support our campuses by providing coverage for the roles of DON, ADON, Clinical Education and Clinical Coordinator at assigned locations in Fremont, Lincoln, and Norfolk, NE. As Regional Nurse Coordinator, you will provide training, analysis, and advice to the nursing teams and campus leadership, perform routine responsibilities of the role you are assigned to cover, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and company policy and procedures. You may also monitor, consult, and make recommendations for modifications to existing processes, systems, policies, and practices that assure efficient, effective & compliant performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Steps into open Nurse Leadership positions and works onsite at a community during transitions or when otherwise needed.
  • Ability to travel to assigned communities to provide clinical expertise and support while acting in the capacity of an assigned role such as DON, ADON, Clinical Education or Clinical Coordinator.
  • Monitors clinical processes, training, and auditing to optimize the quality of care and services in each community.
  • Participates in the onboarding processes of clinical leaders, provides coaching and counseling, and makes appropriate development or performance recommendations.
  • Conducts regular quality audits to ensure compliance with Nye Health Services standards.
  • Recommends improvements to community clinical practices and provides input to overall clinical operations to achieve organizational goals.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify problems promptly, develop effective resolutions to those problems and ensure implementation of the proposed resolution, confirm results, and revise as necessary.
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of regulations and standards as implemented by regulatory agencies.

Education & Experience

  • Current RN license in the state of Nebraska.
  • Three to five years of clinical leadership experience in long-term care or similar setting, with multi-campus consultation and/or management preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of MDS, payer systems, and contracts (Medicare, HMOs, Managed Care, Third Party Payer Systems).
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Understanding of clinical management systems including business systems, budgets and resource management.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of the RAI process.
  • Understanding of clinical issues related to patient liability losses and risk management.
  • Able and willing to travel extensively between Nye Health Services locations to work on-site.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and abilities to handle multiple priorities accurately and on time to facilitate customer and program needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in a wide variety of circumstances, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be flexible, self-driven, accountable for results, autonomous, and supportive of team efforts.
