We are looking for a creative and energetic go-getter who relishes the thrill of developing and implementing marketing and business development initiatives to position VHB as best in class related to the Transportation, Real Estate, Institutional, Energy, Federal, and State and Local Government markets.

The successful candidate should bring a solid record of success collaborating in the development of strategic-/market-forecast planning efforts, as well as experience both leading and coordinating complex, mega pursuits, preferably in the A/E/C or professional services industry.

A strong desire to collaborate with and mentor a talented team of marketers and designers is a must. Headquartered in Watertown, MA, VHB has several offices across New England to provide flexibility in work location. The ideal candidate is willing to regularly work from and/or be based in our Watertown, MA headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • In support of the firms seller-doer philosophy, partners with Regional leadership to help drive Business Development (BD) and Client Focus Programs, including development and implementation of proactive marketing and sales strategies.

  • Partners with the Regional Manager and Office Managing Directors in consistent Client Focus and BD Program implementation; serves as regional trainer.

  • Contributes to and provides support for development of the annual Regional Business Plan. Partners with regional leaders to help drive BD Action Plans throughout the year.

  • Analyzes industry, market, and client trends and recommends strategies and marketing campaigns to position VHB for success.

  • Maintains a clear understanding of key pursuits within each market. Works with regional leaders to ensure strategy sessions and client positioning meetings occur.

  • Implements a strategic, client-focused marketing and pursuit process and procedures in alignment with Corporate Marketing Program and Brand. Ensures Regional staff are trained and in alignment with established initiatives, policies, and procedures.

  • Oversees regional go/no-go (G/NG) program. Provides recommendation on G/NG discussions and approval.

  • Tracks and maintains an accurate understanding of proposal capture and win-rates, cost-to-fee, and pipeline development. Analyzes and leverages data to make recommendations.

  • Develops and implements efficient marketing and positioning processes to improve performance and overhead spending, as needed.

  • Facilitates and leads pursuit strategy sessions. Coaches and guides technical and marketing team in storyboarding, development, and execution of winning pursuits. Provides guidance and thought leadership to pursuit champions and other technical professionals.

  • Ensures Regional Visibility Program is developed and consistently implemented, including execution of strategic digital communications and use of timely social media that supports Regional and Corporate initiatives. Helps align visibility and marketing plans/budgets to annual Business Plan.

  • Partnering with Regional Marketing Manager, mentors, positions, and enables Regional Marketing Team to lead marketing initiatives and strategic proposal efforts throughout the pursuit lifecycle from prepositioning through client presentation, including effective messaging and integration of graphics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12 to 15 years of marketing experience, preferably in the A/E/C or other professional services industry, including overseeing, coordinating, and performing all aspects of the client, visibility, and pursuit development lifecycle in a seller-doer environment.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing a team of at least 8 to 10 professionals.

  • Experience managing and executing sales and BD programs and processes, including tracking, managing, and leveraging marketing sales metrics (pipeline, capture rates, win rates, etc).

  • Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) or like systems. Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with leadership to facilitate and execute annual strategic planning, and/or market forecast planning processes.

  • Experience developing and implementing Client Focus (Client Service Team) programs.

  • Hands-on experience leading and coordinating high-profile, complex pursuits from initial prepositioning through proposal and interview.

  • Works effectively and independently in high-pressure team environment to manage multiple tasks in parallel. Ability to quickly adapt to and communicate changes in program schedules and priorities.

  • Involvement and certification (e.g., CPSM, APMP) in industry professional organizations preferred

  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The research and development activities use a robust, chemistry-driven approach in the development of small molecule drugs for the treatment of viral infections and liver diseases. This experienced individual reports into the Head of Clinical Operations and is responsible for planning, implementing and managing Clinical Data Management (CDM) activities across our client's trials and programs, including but not limited to database and technology selections, vendor management, data collection and review, and ensuring that quality standards are maintained. This position is also responsible for leading or contributing to company process improvement initiatives. Primary Job Responsibilities: * Responsible for the oversight of CDM vendors for assigned trials to ensure data quality, integrity and timeliness * Provides CDM expertise to database set up, CRF design, and data cleaning activities * Ensures clinical data within EDC is of a quality to lock/unlock and freeze/unfreeze as appropriate for statistical review, interim review, and or final database lock * Coordinates and participates in the review of clinical data, analysis tables/listings/figures and patient profiles for data consistency and accuracy * Responsible for the selection of suitable vendors for the outsourcing of DM activities, and for building effective DM vendor relationships.
