Responsibilities

BKD Capital Advisors, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BKD, LLP, is currently seeking a regional market leader.

This position can be based out of Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Little Rock, or Oklahoma City.

This investment banking professional will have a background of high-quality engagement execution, strong marketing skills, and a broad network. Your primary responsibility will be growing a practice through the execution of investment banking engagements, new business development, including lead generation, and relationship management. This position represents a significant career opportunity for the right individual.

  • Manage investment banking transactions
  • Deal origination, engagement and execution for merger & acquisition, debt and equity financing, company divestitures, and strategic options analysis engagements.
  • Client/prospect interaction
  • Develop internal and external relationships to source M&A transactions, prepare and deliver client/prospect presentations, work closely with LLP partners/managers and initiatives groups in developing client relationships and marketing strategies.
  • Marketing support- Prepare and execute business development strategies including, participate in corporate finance-related industry conferences and public speaking opportunities, assist in developing articles, marketing letters, news releases, and other avenues to generate exposure and build the brand.

  • Contribute to a high-performing national investment banking practice through active coaching, mentoring, and recruiting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or an MBA required

  • The FINRA Series 7 or 79 required

  • Prior experience at a market-leading investment banking firm

  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing distribution, technology, and business services, healthcare and/or energy strongly preferred

  • Thorough understanding of capital advisory services and the M&A process, sell-side and buy-side representation, debt/equity/distressed restructurings, creating buyer/seller strategies, deal structuring, and negotiation

  • Previous success and proven track record in new business development and closing investment banking transactions (book of business contacts)

  • Deep understanding of the capital marketplace, including deal multiples, pricing, structure, potential financing sources and buyers, and an ability to develop capital-raising strategies and execute upon those strategies

  • Significant client interaction and experience, particularly showing the ability to develop strong and influential client relationships

  • Willingness and ability for occasional travel when necessary

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience # Skills: Requires strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, leadership skills, presentation skills, organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and attention to detail. Requires strong customer service orientation, and knowledge of healthcare workflows. Demonstrates computer/software skills, with an aptitude for enhancing those skills in the area of healthcare systems/modules. Ability to work with minimal direction on assigned projects.
