The Regional Market Access Manager (RAM)- West will have dual responsibilities: payer account management (CMS/MAC, State Medicaid, VA and national and regional private payers) and reimbursement support. The RAM is the key contact responsible for local market access and reimbursement related matters in the assigned region. The RAM is required to obtain coverage for AAA products, analyze access and reimbursement issues, and act as the reimbursement expert/problem solver for field force & regional and national leadership.

General responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Access and Coverage

  • Obtain access and coverage for AAA products with private (national and regional plans) and public (Medicare and Medicaid) payers

  • Deep understanding of the local changing landscape including consolidation and integration of customers with focus on different operating models, quality, outcomes and risk-bearing partnerships and ability to leverage this knowledge to exceed business objectives

  • Leverage local market insights to provide valuable input into various key headquarter disciplines including policy, pricing/contracting, distribution, marketing and patient services

  • Portfolio accountability and account leadership for assigned customers in their local market of various customer types which may include health plans, RBMs, or MACs

  • Responsible for managing payer accounts (public and private) in a specific territory.

  • Drive product access and influence on inclusion in treatment algorithms/protocols and coverage policies

Reimbursement Support

  • Develop relationships with patient access stakeholders including hospital administrators, billing and coding staff, nurses, and other individuals to deliver information that facilitates patient access to and appropriate reimbursement of AAA products

  • Navigate AAA product access and reimbursement landscape at a Regional, Customer and Patient level to optimize access appropriately for AAA products

  • Reaction based activities would include case-specific issues at an account and patient level, Regional changes in access requirements and processes and education of account changes to the sales force

  • Develop and execute local market-based initiatives that will educate access stakeholders within key accounts on the value and process of AAA's reimbursement, support and education services

  • Be responsible for understanding and upholding AAA Legal and Compliance guidance at a customer and field leadership level in terms of access, cost and reimbursement related issues

  • Be able to build professional relationships while navigating sensitive conversations related to access, cost and reimbursement in a manner that supports the vision of AAA's partnership and commitment

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Life Sciences, pharmacy, or a Business related discipline) is required; Masters degree/MBA preferred

Experience &Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience including similar payer account management and/or reimbursement roles within pharmaceutical or biotech or account based reimbursement management (oncology and/or diagnostic experience) is required; 5 plus years of experience is highly preferred

  • Experience with buy & bill products in oncology is required

  • Excellent working knowledge of evolving market access and reimbursement landscape

  • Experience navigating complex payer landscape and updating coverage policies

  • Experience in hospital finance, claims processing, and/or billing/coding is required

  • Demonstrated willingness to collaborate and partner with internal colleagues

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the complex regulatory envionment

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated excellence in account management, relationship development and account penetration is required

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and flexibility to meet customer demands

  • Experience with buy & bill products in oncology is required

  • This is a Field-based Remote position and will cover the western United States

Job Description/Responsibilities The Regional Training Manager - West will focus on driving the training and development of the field sales team in the assigned territory. This role will continuously monitor the team and identify opportunities to improve performance and develop training tools to support these needs. Additional responsibilities for the Regional Training Manager include:• Develop fact-based selling materials to effectively train and develop the field sales team in the assigned territory.• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gain alignment on expectations and workload balance for on and off premise execution.• Work to constantly improve the Sazerac team and individual selling capabilities. Be an actives learner from field based studies, customer feedback and wins/losses to improve the training program.• Ensure the orientation process is positive and a memorable experience for new hires. Develop 30,60,90 day processes and insure all new hires get proper introductions to Sazerac: its people, processes, systems, customers and culture.• Oversee and develop training tools for brand state priorities.• Support the development plan for the sales team in assigned territory.• Ensure brand standards, KPI's and sales drivers are simple, commercially applicable and measurable and clearly understood and communicated.• Identify and develop core key sales management processes and train sales teams (e.g. distributor/broker management and reviews, merchandising relevance and standards, customer presentations and negotiations, market development days, etc.)• Train and develop sales team on proper planning and organizing techniques.• Provide coaching and direct feedback to individuals that will result in behavior changes, and in turn, enable the individual to achieve immediate and long-term success.• Assist management in the execution of sales related training needs, such as new product launches or sales force expansions.
