The Regional Managing Director manages Wealth Management's product and service delivery in an assigned region, including direct responsibility for all client servicing activities and oversight of investment decisions pertaining to client accounts. S/He has management responsibility for all Wealth Managers and support staff in the assigned region.

In concert with the Regional President, s/he is responsible for the regional revenue, expenses and budgets, as well as development and execution of regional strategy. In this role, the incumbent will be expected to assess, identify and address risk related to BNY Mellon's role as a wealth management provider.


The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience with 10+ years of experience in the investment management industry, as well as advanced knowledge or experience consistent with an MBA and/or a CFA. A minimum of five years of experience in managing senior investment professionals or financial services professionals is preferred. Experience in strategy execution and budget management is also preferred.

The primary functions are to 1) generate new business opportunities, 2) manage existing client relationships, and 3) represent our South Region banking practice in select U.S. markets. The South Banking Group is part of Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries within the Commercial Bank and is responsible for managing relationships with public and private companies with revenues of $500 million and above. This group provides traditional corporate banking products as well as investment banking products to its clients. Our business partners include product specialists from Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, Treasury Services, Corporate Derivatives and Private Banking. The South Banking Group focuses on companies located in the Southern U.S. (Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kansas, Nebraska). This position requires a relationship manager capable of driving business independently. The banker should have proven client relationship skills and an ability to call at the CEO/CFO level.
