This role is based out of Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford but will support the entire region which includes our hospitals, physician practices, and other services throughout CT and Springfield, MA .

Job Description:

The Trinity Health Of New England Regional Manager of Shared Services is responsible for the sourcing, bidding, pricing, contract management, analytics, content manager, implementation and standardization of products and services the regional health system to support their business operations. Utilizing the system office PeopleSoft to manage the procurement of supplies and services. Responsible for negotiation and implementation of contracts for supplies and service in alignment with the system office strategies. This position services the entire Trinity Health Of New England Region.

Work Hours/Shift:

Salaried full time 40hrs, usually Mon-Fri days with flexibility to meet the needs of the department

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Excellent Communicator: Serves as liaison between vendor and region keeping each apprised of Hospital and Departmental policy, delivery, conditions.

  • Strong Educator: Recommends alternative quality products for cost savings in alignment with the with System Office cost containment strategies. Assists in product evaluations with the supplier, user departments and Value Analysis resources.

  • Technical Familiarity: Responsible for maintaining a vendor contract database. Negotiates contracts with vendors, working with suppliers to develop and manage continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service and price. Evaluates vendor performance based on prices, delivery, service, and past performance. Establishes and manages vendor related KPI's.

  • Active Teamwork: Manages all Value Analysis related activities including detailed work-plan, implementation activity and committee participation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • A minimum of five (5) years' work experience as a manager of employee staff with project management, preferably for a healthcare-based institution

  • Inventory and purchasing background
