JOB SUMMARY:

Regional Loss Prevention Managers are responsible for in total, the receipt of reports of losses of assets, consisting of money and or merchandise causing losses to Signet Jewelers Inc. The position further entails the investigation, determinations of loss causes, individuals responsible for such losses if warranted, the prosecution of person(s) responsible for such losses if warranted, preparation of court documents and the testifying in court on behalf of Signet Jewelers Inc. Regional Loss Prevention Managers are responsible for conducting training meetings at all levels, store, district and regional regarding loss prevention issues and trends. This position further includes the completion and assistance to the Field Audit department within the Loss Prevention Department in auditing processes when and where warranted or through the scope of an investigation. Regional Loss Prevention Managers also will and do enforce the policies and procedures of Signet Jewelers Inc., which can and does include conducting formal employee counseling's as well as in specific instances where warranted terminations. Selected candidate must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate at their expense.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Criminal prosecutions relating to theft of cash and/or merchandise from the company

  • Responsible the completion of Loss Prevention Training Seminars for new locations as needed

  • Manages the Loss Prevention Incident Reporting System through the completion of Incident Reports from the stores where these incidents occur, issuing of Incident Control Numbers, giving direction and instruction as to the Uninsured Loss Transfer process, and follow-up to ensure the proper closure of these incidents.

  • Prioritizes their reporting Regional Loss Prevention Managers positional responsibilities through the coordination of efforts with the Senior Manager's of Loss Prevention and the Director of Loss Prevention, Home Office and Store Operations group

  • Utilization of the "Behavioral Analysis Interview" to obtain admissions of theft, violation of company policy, and employee negligence

  • Conducts reviews of external theft incidents to establish whether proper controls were in use at the time of the incident, and if not, whether employee negligence contributed to the loss. Coordinates disciplinary actions that result from their investigations and/or external theft reviews with the Home Office and Store Operations group.

  • Ensures proper documentation of employee admissions through the completion of Investigation Reports to support disciplinary action decisions, and for use in labor and/or legal proceedings. Presents documentation and testimony resulting from their investigations to local law enforcement authorities and prosecuting attorney's offices for the purposes of obtaining criminal convictions against those responsible for theft of cash and/or merchandise from the company.

  • To work with local law enforcement authorities and prosecuting attorney's offices toward the recovery of merchandise stolen from the company by means of physical recovery and/or restitution

  • Facilitates Loss Prevention Training Meetings at the District Manager, Store Management, and store employee level

  • Assists as necessary at the direction of the Senior Manager and/or Director of Loss Prevention in other regions of the country to support Loss Prevention Department objective

  • Develops and or recommends programs needed for the reduction of losses in their respective areas as well as the company

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree preferred but not mandatory

Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Self-starter with a proven track record of success within the loss prevention field. Willingness to travel. Strong prioritization skills. This position will require strong interviewing skills and attention to detail with respect to investigations. Strong communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with operations and store partners. Must Be Bilingual/Spanish.

Years of Job-Related Experience Required: Must have a minimum of 4 years in a multi-location assignment within the retail environment

Technical/Other Skills Required: Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and general computer skills are essential
