The Regional Logistics Loss Prevention Manager, North America Sort Centers (NASC) is a key salaried position in the Amazon Logistics team. The Regional Logistics Loss Prevention Manager leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset (lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, & intellectual property) protection in a designated area of responsibility. The Regional Logistics Loss Prevention Manager reports to the Senior Loss Prevention Manager responsible for their area, and aids them in supporting the Sort Center (SC) and Line Haul Operational teams, and the cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Enhance, track, and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner

  • Ensure internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements related to area are fulfilled

  • Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud and conduct interviews when appropriate

  • Inspire performance excellence on the part of all security services team members

  • Ensure that you understand, align performance and actions with and can clearly articulate the vision and values of the organization and their department

  • Meet or surpass your objectives that align with security service model

  • Identify, promote and implement security best practices in a designated Sort Center

  • Serve as department's liaison and security subject matter expert for facility management keeping them abreast of key issues, strategies and the department's performance

  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency

  • Effectively partner with internal customers in evaluating current and future security services, processes and initiatives

  • Coordinate data collection, through database polling or data entry, from multiple DC; and conduct analysis generating strategic and tactical interpretations

Work in fast paced environments to prevent shoplifter theft as well as theft from employees. Officers maintain a presence in the public retail space, monitoring shoppers and employees alike for unusual behavior. Depending on employer policy, officers may be able to apprehend suspected thieves and they may also be armed. Responsibilities * Provides high visibility patrols of buildings and grounds of the park to provide reasonable protections of the park's property, assets, guests and associates. * Monitors, enforces and correctly reports violations of park rules and applicable state laws. Assesses, resolves and contains situations and takes appropriate action based upon policies and training. * Gives verbal directions and assists guests and associates, including lost and/or separated guests. * Communicates using a two-way radio and telephone; calls for assistance and responds to emergency situations. Moves items or objects and moves or drags persons in an emergency. * Monitors and prevents unauthorized entry into park or restricted areas. Observes and checks departing personnel and vehicles to guard against property loss. * Performs walk-throughs and hand held metal detection functions to help prevent weapons or prohibited items from entering the park. * Writes legible, timely, concise and accurate statements or reports for incidents and investigations; assists with investigations as assigned. Testifies in court or at a hearing as required. * Monitors park revenue generating locations for the detection of guests committing violations. * Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair Standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions. * Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision. * Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. * Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies. * Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. * Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications * Must be at least 18 years of age * Possess a High School Diploma or GED * Possess a valid state/provincial Driver's License * Ability to undergo training and pass examinations as needed. * Ability to demonstrate positive public relations skills. * Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. * Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. * Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
