Job Summary:

Trane Technologies is hiring a Regional LCU-R & VRF Business Leader to join our Team. Position is in the Greater Northeast Commercial Sales Region. In this role, you will be a member of the Regional Leadership Team and will collaborate with the team to develop and execute the overall LCU and Ductless strategy. This role will focus on 3-25 ton LCU sold to servicing contractors in the replacement market. In addition, you will be responsible for VRF/Ductless product sales and growth. This includes design support for mechanical engineers and sales to contractors in both plan & spec and design/build markets. You will directly lead a Team of LCU Outside Sales, LCU Inside Sales and the Ductless Sales and Operations team. You will also work with other Sales Managers and Account Managers in Systems and Services to drive LCU-R & VRF revenue growth within their assigned markets. You will be working closely with Sales Offices throughout the Region by offering support in the LCU-R/VRF/Ductless products. Position will also work closely with the Mitsubishi JV and deliver on VRF/Ductless market goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy, Mission, Vision:

  • Accountable for the development and delivery of the LCU-R / VRF sales strategy to meet Annual Operating Plan.

  • Overall responsibility for the following sales functions: Customer and regional sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, marketing, maximizing account penetration, market penetration, customer retention, hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.

  • Partner with GNE Regional Vice President and General Manager, Area General Managers and Equipment Solutions Leaders to ensure alignment of strategy with overall business unit and company strategy relative to LCU and VRF/Ductless replacement market.

  • Anticipate industry changes and position, reposition strategy to respond to change; stay abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements

  • Business & Operations:

  • Establishing and driving the sales activities, forecasting, and reporting on bookings, revenue, conversion rates and maintenance of overall quote volume.

  • Manage ongoing performance by monitoring and coaching LCUR Account Managers' effectiveness and efficiency in relation to project attainments, customer service, customer relationship development, and business profitability.

  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of the sales plans to include management of leads, quotation activity and order generation.

  • Drive customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed.

  • Evaluate and provide feedback to inventory managers on Express Warehouses local inventory strategy/planning and stocking plan.

  • Leverage internal resources and network such as marketing, finance, legal, treasury, and various appropriate Centers of Excellence teams to create effective and differentiated offerings to our customers.

  • Responsible for the overall development and capabilities of the sales teams in line with Sales Force Effectiveness and other quantitative tools.

  • Financial:

  • Responsible for achieving annual objectives regarding profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share.

  • Responsible for gross margin targets for LCU products managed thru this team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a sales leadership role.

  • Excellent knowledge of the HVAC Replacement Market (their customers, applications, market leaders and technology) VRF/Ductless Knowledge (Mitsubishi Products a plus).

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean principles and tools for strategy planning and problem solving

  • Ability to influence others and lead groups to achieve goals with and without direct authority

  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team environment

  • Proven track record of successfully driving adoption of new programs and delivering growth.

  • Ability to travel regionally (up to 30%)

Total Target Compensation: $180,000 - $275,000

Total Target Cash represents a mix of fixed base salary plus payment from sales commissions. Sales commission plans are uncapped plans.
