As a member of our International Supply Chain Solutions team, enabling our customers to optimize their supply chains through Hellmann's order management and sea transportation management solutions. You will be responsible to support the development of supply chain management products and systems as well as supporting Sales and Operations in the process to pursue customers, design customer-centric solutions, implement customers and help to drive operational excellence for key clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities cover various areas such as business development, solution design, implementation and key account operations - focus may vary based on periodic requirement. Sometimes the role will require to take the lead - sometimes to support and enable.

Business Development

  • Create, align+ drive action plans to deliver against business development targets per vertical, product and geography.

  • Develop, manage and enhance a high quality sales pipeline based on strategic drivers+ drive the funnel velocity in collaboration with the sales organization.

  • Anticipate RFQ's + mobilize (virtual) project teams to ensure flawless preparations under minimal time pressure.

  • Assess customer needs + support the creation of a tailored solutions, value propositions + customer engagement strategies.

  • Provide critical and relevant pricing data + validate proposals prior to submissions.

  • Lead the pitch + commercial negotiations with relevant stakeholders.

  • Validate and approve deviations from standard SOP and tariffs + clearly document the customer promise before handing over new wins to implementations.

Solution Design

  • Develop + maintain expert knowledge of the International Supply Chain market, product, systems, processes, infrastructure and best practices.

  • Support the RFQ cycle through opportunity assessments + provide go/no-go recommendations

  • Obtain deep knowledge of the customers' requirements + perform whiteboard sessions and advanced supply chain analysis if required.

  • Design and document tailored solutions, value propositions + commercial proposals.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders validate pricing + solutions design feasibility.

  • Prepare and present the value proposition highlighting quantifiable improvements on critical supply chain value. components + support the commercial negotiations.

  • Ensure a smooth handover with the Implementation team + monitor the solution is implemented as designed.

Implementation

  • To conduct kick-off meetings + capture the agreed scope of work in the Project Charter

  • Lead the project team to ensure timely completion of the project deliverables + provide weekly progress reports

  • To validate the as-is vs. to-be solution design+ obtain solution design sign-off.

  • Supervise the technical- and operational implementation+ obtain sign-off

  • Ensure the creation, validation, sign-off + distribution of all documentation required to execute the business

  • Develop training materials + ensure training is delivered and vendor onboarding sign-off is obtained

  • Provide operational and technical production supervision during hypercare + document/share lessons learned

Operations

  • Enable Program Managers to deliver against operational commitments and development plans.

  • Audit program governance and maturity + ensure improvement plans are documented and delivered against.

  • Participate in business reviews + ensure creation of value.

  • To drive standardization and scalability of operational processes + control environments .

  • Translate structural/recurring issues + risks into functional requirement specifications for the development of new systems, processes, controls, training, policies and facilities.

  • Support projects and initiatives related to improving customer acquisition, implementations + product/system development.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not supervise any direct reports at this moment.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Logistics and Supply Chain, Transportation, or associate field), or equivalent work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement.

  • 7-10 years minimum Seafreight experience.

  • 5+ years minimum experience in the Supply Chain Management field.

  • Completion of any industry related course is an asset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently required to stand, and walk

  • Requires close-up and computer screen distance vision ability

  • Requires occasional overnight and overseas travel
