Job Summary

The successful candidate for this position will assist in development, deployment, and monitoring of recruitment and retention efforts at our nursing homes located in Illinois and Iowa.

Job Duties

  • Oversee recruitment and retention activities at assigned locations provide onsite support as needed

  • Source potential candidates for employment using a variety of marketing approaches

  • Supervise and support regional medical recruiters assigned to your area

  • Audit recruitment and retention processes at assigned locations

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience as a human resource professional/manager in the long-term care industry

  • Degree in human resources preferred, but will seriously consider candidates with successful recruitment and retention experience in the long-term care industry

  • Excellent oral and written and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Results driven

  • Ability to perform overnight travel

Job Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator is a key representatives of the human resources department that facilitates HR functions and programs. Working under the HR director or manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will support hourly hiring needs and internal postings, address issues raised by current employees and new-hires, organize and schedule orientations, and coordinating other HR functions such as training and development. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Provides administrative support in all aspects of human resources by performing a wide range of specialized duties, such as providing procedural guidance, coaching clients on system-related transactions and procedures, providing formal training to clients, or providing suggestions for improvement to current procedures, processes, and methods * Coordinates administration of diverse, complex, and highly confidential information related to compensation, benefits, performance, and other areas of HR * Translates information into concise, comprehensive reports, charts, or graphs in order to communicate results * Applies experience and knowledge of HR, along with knowledge of client organizations to identify issues and anticipate business needs as they relate to Human Resources * Effectively utilizes a broad network of interfacing staff support groups, such as Finance, IT, and Legal to resolve problems and facilitate decision making * Independently reviews HR reports and systems for compliance to corporate and local HR policy, working closely with clients as necessary, and alerting HR Manager to unusual circumstances * Serves as resource person to all levels of employees regarding policies, procedures, guidelines, and practice, influencing adherence to enforcement of policy * Balances conflicting priorities to establish efficient work flow * Coordinates preparation, scheduling, and implementation of HR processes, such as Tier Review, Health of the Organization (HOO), Management Team Reviews (MTRs), and annual compensation planning by initiating requests, compiling information, reviewing data accuracy, and following up as needed to ensure timely completion * Coordinates on- and off-site meetings, presentations, and conferences, including travel arrangements, developing agendas, taking meeting notes, and processing summary of proceedings, as necessary * Provides HR training resources and tools and/or directs to the appropriate HR subject matter expert, as necessary, to provide client solutions * Develops and maintains positive client relations through communication and interpersonal practices * May coordinate and/or participate on various special project teams and workplace committees * Exercises discretion in matters of confidentiality Basic Qualifications: * Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution * Minimum of five (5) years combined experience in an administrative support function, secretarial and/or clerical role in a private, public, government or military environment Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Human Resources * Advanced Proficiency in MS Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Experience with event planning * Experience with 3M systems including purchase requisitions, Cybershift, SAP, P-Card, Concur, expense reports, and Workday * Highly developed written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrate ability to complete assignments under pressure and short timelines * Excellent organizational skills * Must demonstrate initiative and ability to anticipate and problem solve independently * Ability to work flexible work hours depending on current priorities * Ability to handle confidential information * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization Location: Springfield, MO Travel: May include up to 5% domestic Relocation: Is not authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
