The Opportunity

We seek to hire an Regional Home Loan Consultant. In this role, responsibilities will include originating home loans and lines of credit though direct contacts with members or by other referral sources.


  • Meets with members to discuss loan programs and recommends appropriate product(s) to meet the member's needs.

  • Develop referral sources through assigned branches, local realtors, and in the community.

  • Must meet with assigned branches weekly.

  • Responsible for obtaining and submitting a complete loan application with the required supporting documentation.

  • Responsible to notify the borrower of decline and refer to PCS for an alternative solution.

  • Responsible to meet minimum production goals assigned.

  • Responsible to meet disclosure requirements for all real estate loans.

  • Maintain accurate status in origination systems for all loans assigned.

  • Make presentations and represent Patelco Credit Union at functions as directed.

  • Recognize Cross sell opportunities and refer to appropriate team.

  • Keep members personal information safe and secure per Patelco's Security Policy.

  • Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 2 years of experience of external real estate or mortgage loan sales

  • Knowledge of FNMA and FHLMC guidelines preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Good public relations ability

  • Demonstrate skill in planning, organizing and controlling work:

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Must have ability to use personal computer with emphasis on Word and Excel.

This position owns the responsibility of providing support to the the Regional Banking Incident Management (RBIM) team. These programs are managed through a complex and robust process. The CCDR program is responsible for ensuring all business units are aware of imminent and catastrophic situations affecting the well-being of our customers' lives, homes, livelihoods, and surrounding communities. The RBIM team is responsible for managing all incidents that impact the Regional Bank's ability to conduct business as usual; whether the incident is realized or potential. This is accomplished through building and leveraging relationships with partners, business line leaders, regional services and region leaders. The CCDR & the RBIM teams manages over 10,000 incidents a year across Community Bank. Team members response to complex incidents, such as natural disasters, robberies, evacuations and outages. A majority of the incidents involved technology outages. In addition, RBIM partners with the following teams: * Branch managers * Regional Services * Corporate Security * Vendor & dispatch via PAC2000 * SSG Unix * Cash vaults * Ground transportation * Armored Transportation * Technology Connection Finally, this role requires regular interaction with senior-level management in order to ensure customer impacts are minimal to none. Required Qualifications * 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning Desired Qualifications * Retail banking experience * Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to coordinate, lead and facilitate group meetings * Knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and disaster recovery procedures/solutions * Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex customer issues * Experience assessing and meeting the needs of customers and solving customer problems * Ability to develop improvement processes and implementation strategies to ensure business continuity/contingency plans * Knowledge and understanding of the SVT (Store Vision Teller) system * Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills Other Desired Qualifications Work Days to be: Tuesday to Saturday Job Expectations * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
