Responsibilities: Direct and coordinate activities of the Field Service Representatives (FSR's) including scheduling, training, annual personnel reviews and expense reporting.

Estimate productions costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for GEHO pumps and High-Pressure Grinding Roles (HPGR) as well as other Weir Minerals North America (WMNA) products. Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, maintenance and warranty issues of GEHO pumps and HPGR as well as other WMNA products. Act as primary contact for Service Operations to ensure all client requests, as well as detailed and complex inquiries concerning GEHO pumps and HPGR maintenance and warranty issues for the full line of WMNA products are timely and expertly handled.

Develop training material to be used for maintenance and repairs of GEHO pumps and HPGRs and other WMNA products, for training of customers, sales force, and manufacturing personnel. Inspect and evaluate failures of GEHO pumps and HPGR equipment by inspecting failed parts, reading wear patterns, and determining corrective actions as needed. Oversee customer safety programs for Field Service projects such as Avetta, and ISNetworld and recommend methods of improving departmental procedures, efficiency, utilization of personnel, and accuracy of Service Operations functions including cross departmental workflow, standard operating procedures, Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) procedures, risk assessments, communication related to processing of equipment orders, as well as period review of Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP's). Plan required inventory and preventative maintenance of GEHO pumps and HPGR equipment on customer sites.

Provide customer and representative training in GEHO pumps and HPGR rebuild, startup, maintenance procedures, commissioning, and troubleshooting for GEHO pumps and HPGR. Inspect and evaluate failures of GEHO pumps and HPGR equipment by inspecting failed parts, reading wear patterns, and determining corrective actions as needed. Responsible for enforcing Environmental Health and Safety policy commitments as prescribed in Weir's Duty of Care.

Full time employment, Monday

  • Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of mechanical or hydraulic fundamental work experience in the Mining industry. Employer will accept 2 years of mechanical or hydraulic fundamental work experience in the Mining industry in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Must have 8 years of experience in the following:

  • Slurry Positive Displacement Pumps and High Pressure Grinding Roles (HPGR) systems and related equipment, including cyclones, valves, and axial flow pumps;

  • Calculating figures and amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume;

  • Operating a variety of standard business machines, such as computer and job-related software including Lotus Notes and SAP for order processing, Purchase Orders and daily business operations;

  • Developing project plans and coordinating projects related to Positive Displacement Pump installation, repair and replacement including communicating changes and progress, completing projects on time and on budget, and managing project team activities.

Telecommuting: Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

Travel: International travel required up to 20%; Domestic travel required up to 80%.
